Cabarkapa may play a part in obtaining one of the Suns' new acquisitions, Yugoslavian point guard Milos Vujanic. The friends spoke after the Suns received Vujanic's rights from the Knicks. Vujanic, who is playing in Italy, told European reporters that he wants to play for Phoenix next season.
Lighting the Lampe
There is some quickly forming admiration for another player the Suns obtained from the Knicks. Maciej Lampe, who turns 19 next month, has looked like another versatile, 6-11 player.
"We've got to talk about that one," D'Antoni told Suns Chairman Jerry Colangelo after practice Thursday. "He can really play."
Cabarkapa, Lampe and Leandro Barbosa were on the top of the Suns' draft board last summer, Colangelo said.

There was no chance that Milos would play for the Knicks if Eisley and Williams were on the team (with a bunch of shooting guards too). He would have stayed in Europe.
And where was Lampe gonna find playing time at either the 4 or 5 in the next 3 years?
For those 2 reasons alone it was an OK thing to give them as part of the package.

milos did not want to come and compete for a spot and for that he loses my respect.
As far as lampe, I like the kid, but zeke saw something in him that just said "average"...
Milos didn't come because of the fools in the media who tries to make any new players who comes and plays for the knicks into a savior! And unless you are the highest paid knick that pressure isn't deserved.

This article proves that Layden has been played for a fool by Vujanic, and that he should have traded him long ago.
Yep. Layden did get abused by Milos. I'm just happy that whole dark era of knick history is behind us. I dont think Milos will do that well in Phoenix. Leandro Barbosa is better so Milos, who if he came to NY could've started but will play backup to Barbosa in Phoenix.

It's not losing Lampe or Milos I'm worried about. With the Knicks record, missing the playoffs and having to watch Phoenix use our number #1 draft pick has me more upset!

Oh yes LayDown got seriously played by Milos. This is one thing that makes me even happier that LayDown is finally GONE and that Isaiah is calling the shots.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year.
GO KNICKS!
