People are being evacuated from Times Square after a report of a suspicious package.

[Updated at 1:45 p.m.]

The suspicious package that prompted evacuations in New York's Times Square is a white cooler that was left near the front of the Marriott Marquis Hotel, police told CNN.

The area is not far from where Faisal Shahzad left his SUV that had explosives in it.

Playing right into the terrorists hand. This is what they want to disrupt the way of life. I hate to say this but those mofos are getting into everyones head. They are slowly taking away our freedom.

The govt has always known that fear controls how people think.

Notice nobody who was considered responsible came to Justice in the Anthrax case or 911

It doesn't apply here kam. We are in some serious trouble. According to some articles I have read in the past, there are close to 60,000 people in sleeper cells across America. 60,000! Even if that number is exaggerated, it is scary. How do you defend against a suicide bomber? There is a big war coming.

After suicide bomber get cut or blow himself you take all members of his family and some from his comunity and deport them back to their home place. Russians just killed some of them to make sure everybody get it.
We are not so brutal so just send them back to their tribes.
Next day you will have all other suicide bombers brought to you by their bodies and relatives.
Look at Israel - they are at war for 50+ years and country is moving forward regardless.

How about when the Russians gassed the theater. They pretty much killed innocents along with the terrorists. Its a tough call but deportation is the key. I mean if we can do what Arizona is doing then definitely start deporting certain groups.
