Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker is eyeing an NBA comeback.

Louisville coach Rick Pitino says Walker will work out with several Cardinals during the next few weeks. Walker hasn't played in the NBA since 2008 and has suffered legal and financial woes since stepping away from the game.

"He'll talk to our guys," Pitino said. "What I told him is it's not about the past, get ready and get going and move on."

Walker was a three-time All-Star with the Boston Celtics and won a championship with the Miami Heat in 2006. He played briefly in Puerto Rico during the 2009-10 season.

I am open to it, depending on how much AW wants to pay us to let him be on our roster. I'd say if he pays us $2mil per season he could play here. Oh wait, he's broke. Never mind.

Walker never had a problem playing basketball....that's the bottom line. He was a chucker in Boston and a solid role player everywhere else. He was a key player in Miami. He actually played a huge role in that run for the championship. He's not a cancer....he's a leader. He hasn't played but he'd be a welcome addition in my book.

always a good rebounder and one of the best passing bigmen in the league. You know he and Pierce had some very solid playoff runs. When he left Celtics were a lottery team. He was a bigtime player for a long time. Yes he was the KING chucker of all time but he hit the boards and handled the ball and created a lot of shots for guys

Thank you fish for expanding on the truth.

At the same time, nobody would be expecting him to take on a 40 min per game role. He'd be great in a 8-9 man rotation for cheap....that's if he is in nba game shape.
