There has rarely been a coach who seems to make better sense during the intimate segments where he I miked up. The guy just seems to make perfect sense with a straigforward approach... and he was ours.

The point?

I will give Mike D'Antoni the benefit of being hired to babysit the transition to the next decade.... but couldn't Mark Jackson have done the same job with a roster in flux?

Nah.

Jackson would have done a BETTER job.

It really doesnt make sense considering we basically threw in the towel that last two years. So why D'Antoini? Why not hire an up and coming mind that will grow with the organization and our young players? Plus, I think his mindset and approach are more in line with NYC basketball.

It would have been such a bomb story too! And we definitely would have drafted Jennings. Oh well.

Sebstar - watching Mo Cheeks mentor Russell Westbrook is a thing of beauty. The young man is playing with the same passion and pace as Maurice with the Sixers.

I have a feeling Mark Jackson would have taken Toney Douglas under his tutelage early and rewarded his tenacity with minutes.

Fans would have afforded the yoots at least as much patience under Jackson as he audiioned shift lines... So long as they played with passion.

Even Berman would have been distracted from his Marbury campaign tour.

Assistant coach Cazzie Russell would have been fun
