That entire Newsday things sucks. These Papers could easily get commercial sponsorship in order to support such a thing, why are they trying to suck more money out of the public for this? I just don't like it.

Haven't you heard? Dolan is overseeing the Newsday sports page - Hahn isn't allowed to write anything but "rah rah" stuff these days. This is a true story.

Tough times for traditional newspapers, and I am the type of guy who worries them. I rarely buy newspapers- I can get all the news I need on the web, read what I want without having to go through the entire paper, and even resize the type if the print is too small. I also don't have to worry about recycling.

I might question the effectiveness of what Newsday is doing, but I don't get too angry that they are doing it. Newsday used to be a great NEWSpaper, now they don't even have their own foreign news bureau because of monetary restraints, and instead of being a competitor or less imposing alternative to the NY Times, they now compete with the Daily News and a rag like the NY Post.

The web has created an entirely new reality for newspapers, and you expect that new technology like the Kindle or iPad will further change the way we get our information.

The times they are a changing.

Kind of rah rah all is fine hype James Dolan has perpetuated on Knicks is
for losers mentality.

All he cares about is selling tickets, Dolan rah rah is fake fake
he could care less if Knicks win a title until day he dies

he is rich and all he cares about is Knicks winning him $money not nba titles or prestige

Maybe here and there. Some snippets. I don't know if the mods condone that as a regular practice.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Little Jimmy probably has a stranglehold on his tweets too.

You knew it was all over when he had to stick that "Newsday which is owned by Cablevision which also owns the Knicks" byline in every paragraph of his articles.

actually they are a non-profit org.

Didnt you realize how many subscribers they had after the first month? I think it was 9. Like the 9 that comes before 10, or all your finger minus one pinky

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

This people are complete idiots.
The only way you can get revenue from the WEB in news area is advertising and pushing most of the people out of you site by asking for subscription is idiotic to the extent of complete moronity.
These kind of idiots can work for some time for this big rotten corporations and government but at the end garbage belongs to dump.

Absolutely, Why do you need to remind people of that as if that changes anything, it's as locoal a paper as he gets.

The reason they only have 35 subscriber is because no outside of LI really cares.
