sheed's personality fits Starbury's better

if you look at a team like the T-Wolves, they are playin great - Why? because casell, spree and garnett all have similar personalities, street cats wit fire and passion, they love playin together, and it shows...

thats what we need, get the softies out of here, bring in some firebellys

marbury needs a friend on the team lol

p.s. allan houston has stunk lately wats wrong wit him and i dont think it is his knee he is missin good shots it must be mental he needs his boyfriend ward back :_

We just need a real coach. If Allan doesn't respect Chaney how the hell will Rasheed?

For Rasheed, If you're Isiah who do you give up to portland where the GM for the TrailBlazars would be satisfied???????

It's a wonder how people who knock KVH for being soft mentally actually want Rasheed, possibly the mentally softest player in the league right now. You guys all had another chance to watch him last night after the Knicks debacle. Where exactly was Sheed last night? On the Mars rover?

As I've said before, Sheed is not very agressive these days, shooting more than 4 3's a game and not getting to the line as much as Van Horn. The fact is, we are not gonna be able to dump Anderson or Penny on Portland for Rasheed, so the only way this is getting done is for KVH/Kurt Thomas, so, I will pass....

Elite....I just made a separate post about today's Camby article in the post. Camby fits your bill IMO for a fiery player, and Isiah's for an athletic one. But he also plays the role of oft-injured guy we traded because he was so oft-injured. But he's an under the radar possibility.

I wouldn't call Rasheed soft mentally. Hey, Maybe he's lost the desire to play with fire..

Portland's isn't winning right now and Rasheed is no longer the featured star playing PF posting Kats up. The teams currently runs through Zach Randolph whose doing all the post up.

Maybe thats what Rasheed needs, A new address, like NY. Maybe playing for Isiah will escalate his game, intensity, passion and fire.

In terms of soft mentally between Rasheed and KVH, Please bro, Thats no comparison. You'll get shot down on this website with that statement. If Rasheed do come to NY, Believe me, He'll be our featured post up player for the knicks..

Interesting debate: who's softer, KVH or Weed? Clearly Weed is a tougher guy ... he's not going to get pushed around as much as KVH. But Weed settles for jumpers and has no competitive fire. Not a great combination ... tough guy who doesn't care. I'd pass.

Camby is so erratic. And injury prone. But when he gets it going, like the Indiana series way back when, he's awesome. I'd prefer him to Weed, but still think we could do better.

I would rather not have Rasheed. I watched the game against Minny and he looked absolutely pathetic. He should at least backup his trash talk. KG schooled him.

The athletic PF that is available right now that I think would be a good fit to our team is Abdur-Rahim of the Hawks. We can send the following...

New York trades: PG Frank Williams (4.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.8 minutes)
C Kurt Thomas (11.2 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.9 apg in 32.9 minutes)
SF Shandon Anderson (8.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.3 apg in 25.8 minutes)
New York receives: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (19.8 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 36.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -5.0 ppg, -3.5 rpg, and -3.0 apg.

Atlanta trades: PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (19.8 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 36.1 minutes)
Atlanta receives: PG Frank Williams (4.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.4 apg in 33 games)
C Kurt Thomas (11.2 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.9 apg in 36 games)
SF Shandon Anderson (8.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.3 apg in 37 games)
Change in team outlook: +5.0 ppg, +3.5 rpg, and +3.0 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

We can ask for a 2nd round pick to even out the deal.

knickbb10...I'm sorry, but getting technical fouls and throwing temper tantrums doesn't qualify you for being tough or strong mentally. In fact it shows a weakness. And the fact that he's deferred to Randolph to me shows the he just doesn't care and doesn't seem to want to be the best. He has more talent and experience than Randolph and Portland was his team. He let the young buck Randolph take over. To me these are red flags. I've seen Portland several times this year, and Rasheed plays softer than KVH...believe me on this. In 6 or 7 games I haven't seen him really agressively try to take it to the basket once, and he's not trying to post up despite having a height advantage over every SF in the league. Allan Houston is getting to the line more than Rasheed. And Rasheed is tossing up as many 3's as Houston! We don't need a 6'11 Allan Houston!

Look, maybe a change of scenery might turn it around for Rasheed, but I'm not willing to take that chance. We're in a big enough hole already. Any deal for Rasheed would essentially have to include KVH+KT and that is simply not worth it. Portland is not taking back stuff like Penny and Anderson.

We'd ask for a second round pick to even out the deal?? I have my doubts that Raheem is a 20, 10 guy on a good team. But even if he's an 18 and 8 guy on a good team - we're getting the best of that trade. I must be missing something with FW that everyone else sees. The guy hasn't even played 500 minutes in the NBA TOTAL!! He has shown potential but as far as I'm concerned has not even proven he could be part of a good teams rotation. So why would Atlanta trade Raheem for KT, a bad contract and an unproven point guard. I'd be amazed if Atlanta couldn't do better then that.

I'm sorry, but what makes Sheed mentally stronger than KVH? I'm sorry, but mean streaks don't make the mind. KVH has shown me a lot more than Sheed has this year, and that's saying a lot. At least KVH has shown some real consistency over the last month or so, and decided to show up last night when most of the Knicks didn't. And don't give me the we only lose when KVH scores crap. As much as Frank was a spark during our only big winning streak this year, KVH's scoring and agressiveness really shined. Van Horn is really giving a good effort to shake his image ths year, and I commend him for that.

Atlanta is not taking Anderson's contract, even if the guy is from Georgia. They also have Dickau at the point behind Terry, another young guy who they probably wanttot develop. I don't think they'd do that trade. Rahim is a young guy wtih loads of athletic talent and has put up numbers in this league....I'd like to see him here, but he's not gonna be pried away that easily.
