knee injuries in college...one reason why he dropped in the draft.

signed a max deal.

and is about to get another surgery today.

you really do have to do your homework on guys potential long term health concerns when drafting and when giving out contracts.

oden + roy had injuries and concerns coming into the draft and they have been surfacing ever since.

think about if oden comes back from this injury. that's a gamble that teams won't be able to resist.

chances are any comeback will be short lived.

outside of bitty being able to nurse roy back from injury, there's a good chance nothing good comes out of it long term and they will most likely have the all nba IR first team.

POrtland has a bad history of keeping wing players and building around them. Sam Bowie to pair with Drexler would have been nice but they passed over jordan. Hey, if your gonna hindsight starphuch thats the Uber king of all goofs.

Roy is a nice player but Durant was special and is. Even if Odon was to be healthy Im not sure just how good he could be. Bynum good? Shaq good? I Don't know.

Take Durant and trade Roy for the big you want.

Seems the centers with the biggst upside can't stay healthy. Eddy, Tyson, Bynum, Oden, bogurt, yao are all big time players who can't stay healthy. The young guys can't stay on the court. Seems The Warriors draft then all.

Shaq is becoming freak like even with his injuries but at age 37 remains viable. He bounces back!

Maybe MDA is on to somthing that you need quick limber less bulky 5's who can do other things.

Where are the great centers?

When was the last time shaq played mo then 65 games in the last 6/7 yrs, thats the only reason he's still playing now.

Another thing about roy that kills me, his #s are not franchise like #s 21pts 4.5 and 4.7, yet he's been place up there with the Elite, his defense is suspect and portland fans thinks less highly of him then the rest of the world.

roy's rep comes from hitting big shots and taking over games late. reggie miller's #'s weren't all that but i see their impacts being similar.
