lately, there has been some rumblings about "outside influences" in the world of raptor land after the all star break which helped contribute to their terrendous 2nd half.

a *source* found out yesterday that the "outside influence" effected bosh and his production in the 2nd half go much further than the injury he sustained after the all star break. he got hurt vs. memphis, an ankle sprain with no swelling. yet he sat out 3 weeks and then played sub par after that...until about 2 weeks before he fractured his face.

the *source* doesn't know what the it is exactly but bosh basically checked out after the ASG and is already out the door. his 4 courtside seats, which his relatives and g/f occupy have basically been empty since the ASG. and he is also dating a girl from nyc.

the *source* was a former employee of the raptors (that had access to previous gm's and their assistants) and still has contacts within the organization.

take all that for what you will...but it looks like another US player is going to be heading back south of the border...

If he came here with the idea that he's going to be the man and the solution to all our ills, then yeah. But pair him with another baller and I think we got something. I think his game translates to wins more than lee.

Bosh's limp is a bit limp at times. I'll give you that.

Ok, we all know Ru-Paul is soft... but compared to Lee? Neither is Charles Oakley, but not many people in this league are. I don't think you can disagree that Bosh is the more skilled player. Most people are questioning whether he is $6-7M more talented.

I am coming to the conclusion that I might want Amare more than Bosh. Mostly since Amare has been on a tear lately. In any event, I think you have to prioritize the players based on skill and salary.

So, Lee at $8M is better than Bosh at $17M. But at some point, it becomes a question of how many max talents can you put on the floor and let them make the people around them better (whether through contagious D, drawing double teams, spreading the floor, excellent passing, etc...). I don't think anyone is saying there is no place on any team for Lee, I am saying that, unfortunately, he is consolation prize. Next to Lebron, everyone else is a consolation prize. If you miss out on Bron, I think you need both Wade and Bosh or Amare to be a playoff contender. After that, I hope we don't end up with Joe Johnson and David Lee. We would have been just as good with Crawford and Randolph.

oh... no buts about it, I 100% want Amare period. I think you put him and Lee up front and get a playmaker and we jump to 45-50 wins. Then you still have Curry's expiring to get a good player, or take a bad contract attached with a pick or prospects.

Still... I would do the same thing w/ Bosh as a plan B.

There is no I dont bring Lee back, unless I am signing a combo of 2 of these: Lebron, Wade, Amare.

You can complain about Amare's defense but his scoring in the post is nasty and he attacks the basket.

For me, Lee at $9mm + $8mm of other FAs is much better than Bosh at $17mm

Bosh hasnt carried bad teams. You sub Lee for Bosh on this team and how many more wins to do we get?

In your Amare/Lee front court, you have to have Lee as center. Amare seems to shut down when you make him play center.

that + he doesnt seem to like mike too much. he has said some things about stats i dont care for either -- how his recent play is increasing his value... maybe true, still rather him keep that quiet. not sold on bosh or amare. none of these guys have carried a team, and adding either to lee, i think equals less production from any combo. one guy has to be the primary, the other yields, and if neither play d... yuk.

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

I happen to catch Mike Francesa on the fan for about 10 minutes yesterday. The dude knows nothing about the NBA and he pretty much admits as much. He did say something I could not agree more with. That fans and media with these web sites begging Lebron or other stars to come to NY need to shut up. I dont want any player that doesnt want to come here. I dont want any guy coming here because we had to overpay him to be here. You have to want to come here.

I'm not asking for guys to take less, but I want players that want to be on this stage, that want to be stars in a city of stars.

If Lebron, Wade, Amare or Bosh dont want to be here than phuck them. There are options
