I've had enough. I don't think the players are scared of him anymore.

It was never about being scared of him or anyone. Its that the players don't respect him as a coach. He is a loser of a coach and always has been. The player know it and they can sense a weak figure leading them. The players need a powerful figure to respond to. If you think about the Lakers with Shaq and Kobe under Del Harris were winning but they didn't respect his accomplishment enough to respond to him in the playoffs it was under Phil Jackson a person whose accomlishment they respected and they listened to everything that he hasd to say and did everything that he called for. In Chaney's case he has a losing record in all his season except one. Thats enough of a weakness for a player to not respond to what he wants.

So who were they listening to when they won 4 straight games convincenly? No pressure of trades, they were jelling and then all that speculation came and guys got timid wondering if they would be next in a trade. So the results were poor games by timid players. Zeke is the blame for the lack of desire.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

just look at what H20 said in the papers. He's still mourning the fact that JVG left us. It's clear they don't take Chaney seriously as a coach.

Yep. If thats not a clear indication of what the players think of our coach then what is?

Good point, Guns. Chaney is gone, whether we think it's a good idea or nto. Yesterday, Zeke supports him in the local press. Then tonight, on national tv, he evades a lay-up question asking whether Chaney's his man. If he's gonna pull the trigger in mid-season, ought to do it fast.

Check out this article by Mike Vaccro. I think Chaney is gone this weekend. That would be amazing!! I WANT TO MAKE MY SIGNATURE, DING DONG, DON CHANEY IS GONE!

http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/44679.htm (THIS DEBACLE CALLS
FOR NEW KNICK COACH)

This excerpt is especially delightful.
THE issue no longer is should Don Chaney be fired. Chaney has to be fired. Immediately. Today. This morning. If Isiah Thomas and James Dolan want to retain even a thread of credibility with their fans, they need to move on this at once.
They want to keep selling their fans that the immediate goal is still to make the playoffs? They start by jettisoning Chaney, satisfying a million disgusted customers. That's the first building block. This should have happened long ago, but what's past is past, and what's done is done. The time for compassion, for feeling sorry for a good man ill-suited to a big job, died long ago.

Playa, those four games were not against good teams, and its ok for the team to come together once in a while, but this is the norm.

Look at this:

What else is there to say? A man who teaches, all the time. A man who puts his hands over his mouth and sulks.

Why the Knicks are where they are is due to mostly to Chaney.

Congratulations! This was top 5 stupidest posts I have ever read on this site. I know, you probably own the other 4 as well, but nonetheless, congratulations!

LOL! I will spell it out for you. The guy looks good now, is still winning and is still drinking diet coke. Our guy looks bad, is still losing and has never WON here or anywhere.

Do you get it MEATHEAD?

We used to watch Van gundys post game comments and the man looked like hell. Like a man watching tapes, staying up too late, consumed with making his team the most prepared in the NBA.

A man whom never took time to get a new car until his old civic got blown away by the jet engine. Why, cuz he was too busy working, not worried about style or wheel size.

Playa, you should respect the job he did. He was a true professional whom earned the respect from Riles, and gm's thru the league.

He was treated badly by our management and will root for him except when he plays our team. Quite frankly, I did not cry knowing he came and his showed up his former boss. Let his game speak for itself.
