Also we need some guys who can shoot it consistently.

Sometimes I think were all right sometimes I see a real POS team that is WAY too small.

I don't know what to say because of the coach--he doesnt want to play 2 big guys and I dont know any other way to win at basketball.

We are miles from being a good team. You play the good team on the road and you see just how far away we are.

I guess as a fan you just watch and pray.

SupremeCommander --- from the other thread --- I like Wayne Chism too. This guy really reminds me a lot of Al Harrington -- There both around the same size and they're both good in the post and can both shoot the 3..Al might have a little better one-on-one handle and a little better overall one-on-one skill package but they're very similar..Not the first big I'd consider for us but he's in the mix for me..Very skilled, smart & intense player...

The guy will be 37 next year--but even more importantly--Marcus Camby --the player he is right now can be mixed in as a complimentary player for a really good team that has a quality back up and great players around him.

Example--Camby with Clippers=sck
Camby with Porland =fit

Knicks=Clippers--lets not fool ourselves--we rationalize this free agency with the team all of a sudden jettisoning out to a 600+_ ball club and if LBJ isnt coming here--I would wager were still far away.

When you get smoked like we did the last three games--Utah=game where the home team was doing it so easy just let up and knicks back in game.

Camby is good to have for an excuse team like the Knicks--when he plays 50 games--built in excuse.

Camby was pretty positive when talking about the Knicks yesterday. We could get him if we slightly overpay.

The best part about Marcus Camby is that unlike fantasy trades that are fun but rarely done - or random draft selections who may or may not pan out within three years, the Hartford Homey is a realistic alternative... and a known commodity.

and he plays defense

What do you want to pay a 37 year old guy who is injury prone and statistically heading down hill?

I dont see that as a plan--I see it as desperation.

Marcus Camby playing 15 minutes a game with the second unit is a smart insurance policy

Shift du Hartford

Douglas
The Mayor
Bosh
Gallo
Lee

Boozer, a free agent muscle forward
50/50 skill forward (from draft) - one second round pick is a bust, the other can play
Sergio, unitl something better comes along
Camby, just 15 minutes a night is all we need, 15 minutes

Walker/Giddens - I don't care which one, Walker represents the classic West 4th street baller: killer hops, decent handle, a shot and prone to foul trouble. The Answer Man likes him.

Summer League free agent with fire in his belly who pays his way to Las Vegas

that's eleven

I'm actually not a fan of reacquiring Camby at this point. I agree that if we got the right pieces in place he wouldn't be bad, but he's short-term in my eyes. I want youth and long-term to put around whatever star free agents we can get that are in their prime. That's how I wanna see it built...Boozer's good but I'm really not a fan of his either. This is how I see it with regard to these free agent big guys: we should just keep David Lee if Boozer's the only other option available to us. Bosh is better than Lee, not by a whole lot but better, plus he's younger, taller and knock on wood - he's been healthy. I don't think Boozer is a substantial upgrade over Lee. Plus he's almost two years older and a little injury prone. Amar'e's awesome and better than Boozer but same thing, he's older than Lee and injury prone (although if LeBron wanted Amar'e, I'd probably have to do it to appease him and then just cross my fingers)...If I can't get Bosh, I'm leaning toward bringing Lee back but that's me... Hopefully Lebron would be on board with that...Camby & Boozer are good players that could help but they wouldn't be my first choices.

Moving on to this current team, I really think this kid Giddens has got to get a lot of time now. Now way he gets only 10 minutes & 2 shot attempts last night if I'm at the controls...Unless he's physically unable to go more minutes yet, I want this kid getting much more time -- more than McGrady in fact. Let's see what he's got. Giddens should be playing as much as Walker right now. No excuses. Chandler's already out for the remainder - Giddens should be playing ahead of McGrady, Harrington and definitely Eddie House...I'd be giving this kid every opportunity to prove himself right now in this last handful of games. Last night's game was over quick -- I would've thrown Giddens 30 minutes and I would've put him on Roy the whole time..We've found out that Walker can play a little bit which is good. Giddens is one of the last guys we need to find out about, win or lose at this point. If I'm MDA, if I'm gonna go down miserably in these games, I'm gonna go down with TD, Gallo, Walker and Giddens playing substantial minutes in each game. All other priorities should be rescinded at this point (as in making sure Eddie House gets his minutes to throw up brick after brick -- I always thought House was a decent role player that could really shoot the rock - I'm kinda surprised how bad he's been. He's been terrible. No need to see him anymore the rest of the way, definitely not at Giddens' expense)..

agreed about Eddie House, the guy has been a trainwreck since he's been here... also used to think he was a solid role player to have but dude has been horrific w/his shooting & shot selection... i would definitely not consider him this summer even on a veteran's minimum deal... & i agree, there's no point in playing him anymore for the rest of these games at the expense of someone like Giddens, Walker or Douglas.

Honestly, I think Tyrus Thomas might be our best option at Center.
