At work and rushing, so I cannot post the link. But a Houston paper reported today that Yao has not made a decision on whether he will opt-out of his deal at the end of the season. He plans to talk to his agent. Most people assumed Yao would not opt-out, but in my mind, Yao is a guy that could really boost himself by moving to the Knicks. The only question is would MDA actually play a slower traditional center. Although he is a bit of an injury-risk, Yao is a solid defender due to his size, and a top-notch scorer. I think you could even pair him Lee. If he opts-out, this will change alot of things in the FA market.

Cavs are working on a LeBron or bust strategy that has less maneuverability than the Knicks. If LeBron doesn't resign, their cap number (without Z or Shaq) is around $50M.

no thanks. Blockhead can go elsewhere. He's done and cant make it through an NBA season. Zero interest. Plus he's 30.

Dirk will finish in Dallas.

If I am the Knicks I shoot for the stars right off the bat. That means getting Lebron, Amare and Wade in a room together and say they can all have contracts starting $12mm next year. Sure its less but its an endorsement dream and a dynasty in the making.

Next year run out:
PG Douglas
SG Wade
SF Gallo
PF Lebron
C Amare
bench: Chandler, Walker, Giddens

If that doesnt work then max deals for Lebron/Wade or Lebron/Amare.
If that doesnt work then max deal for Lebron, bring back Lee at $9.5 and use the other $8mm on a good player or combo of players.
If that doesnt work then max for Amare, bring back Lee at $9.5 and use the other $8mm on a good player or combo of players.
If that doesnt work then $14mm for JJ, bring back Lee at $9.5 and use the other $12mm on a good player or combo of players.

After that you get creative with your cap space, as discussed in a 1000 other threads.

Forget Carmello in 2011. I'm expecting Curry to either show up in shape hoping to salvage an NBA career, or I'm using his expiring deal for a bad contract attached to a usefull player. Maybe OK4 or even Elton Brand. You can hate on Brand but he's a nice role player on a team w/ Lebron and Wade :)

Not even remotely interested. Are you just wanting bodies at this point? Speedball. 7 seconds or less. Please pay attention to the plan.

Thanks in advance and hope this helps.

Warm regards.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Frankenstein isn't opting out with his injury history. Nobody would re-sign him to a bigger contract than what he already has.

He is not going to opt out of 17mil payday.

To get another deal he has to play a full season.

If Yao Ming was 100% healthy, he would be my top pick as LeBron James' sidekick.

Yao said he is about “30 percent” recovered now, is riding a bicycle and expects to begin running on the court in late May.

why would yao leave all that money on the table when he's proved to be nothing more than injury-prone?

Even Curry is going to get on a court before Yao.
