Clev holds on to Lebron and they manage to orchestrate a sign/trade deal with Phoenix for Stoudamire

Miami holds on to Wade and they manage to sign/trade for Bosh

NJ gets number 1 pick drafts John Wall and signs David Lee.

Yes.

We can also sign and trade a package for NO for Chris Paul. We can also take more than we give.

N.O. with Collison an reconfigure their team. We may have to eat Peja's salary for a year.

There are numerouse creative ways to do this.

The Russian is going to be a player with the Nyets. Don't doubt him or think that franchise is going to rot in the Swamp. This dude got more money than anyone. Even Dolan.

That scenario is frighteningly possible and would be a worst case scenario for the Knicks.

not sure I see CLE doing a sign and trade for Amare, that's prob the least likely scenario that's going to happen.

There is no chance that Clevland gets Amare. Bosh to Miami could happen, but I get the feeling he wants to be the man and more national exposure.

Worse case you give manu a two year deal at nice money bring in a few veterans and sign David Lee. I don't see NJ really going crazy for lee. However Donnie made a huge mistake by not looking him in his first year as GM

2nd and 3rd scenarios are definitely possible.

I don't see LeBron leaving Cleveland for the Suns though. If he does leave the Cavs, I think it will be to pair up with an Amare or Bosh, not to be traded for one of them.

- I doubt Cleveland springs for Amare. I think they want to strengthen their bench. They will have access to the MLE and have about 12 million in expiring deals to play with.

- Wade and Bosh share the same agent so I guarantee feelers have been put out.

- NJ overpaying David Lee is a very real possiblity because he is a tri-state fan favorite. Im not concerned about who they can draft. Im concerned about them moving that pick for a Chris Paul type talent.

If Miami is able to sign both Wade/Bosh will that play a role in Lebron's decision making? Again my feeling that if winning a title isn't all that important to Lebron he'll consider leaving Clev. If he wants to spend the height of his career contending he'll stay.

Chris Paul seems very redundant Devin Harris when healthy is a more than capable point guard and puts up very good numbers. If the Nets draft John Wall paired with Harris, Courtney Lee, (his brother) David Lee and Brook Lopez that's a pretty dangerous team.

At the end of the day the ones who really sucks are Dolan and Cablevision and they should get what they deserve - boatloads of crap.
Unfortunately this are the Knicks fans who will suffer... not to many left zo.

if CLE doesn't win it this year, how do they change their team or get better over the next few years? They are locked into a lot of contracts and have Z and Shaq in their last year.

Lebron is likely going to continue to be the man Cleveland and still have his jockers in NYC.

If the Nets can trade for Chris Paul then Devin Harris is gone. The Nets need to be competitive ASAP especially with the move to Brooklyn on the Horizon. Chris Paul is a proven talent and will likley have that Jason Kidd effect on the guys they already have in NJ. Chris Paul + Lopez would be a very big problem for us.

So what if they don't win it this year they are still among the best teams in the NBA now they get bounced in the first or second rounds than you need to go back to the drawing board but right now they have something that is working. Not every team is in the mind-set that if you don't win a title you should tear down your squad and rebuild.

- Cleveland has 12 million in expiring deals.
- Cleveland has bird rights to Shaq
- Cleveland has the MLE every year

Once teams run out of cap space there are going to be solid guys left that will have to accept the MLE. Another factor is Cleveland doesnt need to acquire starters through trades. They just need to acquire more solid role players because they already have Varejao, Jamison, and Williams as starters. You have guys like Mike Miller available who will likely accept the full MLE and can really punish teams from the perimeter..

i think there's a better chance Amare ends up in Miami to play with Wade, that's where he's from & the 2 teams were already trying to work out a trade before the deadline passed... Heat can offer up Beasley in a deal so they seem to have all the pieces to make a deal work for both sides.

i think Bosh has a better chance of landing in Chicago where he can play with Derrick Rose & play in a major market on a team that has a nice nucleus of young talent... unless Lebron ends up signing w/NY & bringing Bosh along with him, but obviously that is the less likely scenario because we have less to offer up in any sign & trade type scenarios.

NJ winning the lottery & drafting John Wall & signing D Lee is very possible... i can also see them offering Al Harrington a contract to add more depth to their squad.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
