Congrats to Jamal Crawford on breaking the playoff drought.

It ended nine straight years of playing in the NBA without ever being on a playoff team. He had been the longest-tenured current player to never see an X next to his team's name.

He had gone 667 NBA games without tasting this kind of accomplishment.

So who is now the NBA's Biggest Loser? Eddy Curry has gone eight years without playing in a playoff game, but technically he has been on a playoff team, with the 2004-05 Bulls.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

i'm happy for jamal. he got a lot of ridiculous hate while he was here. kind of like dlee gets blamed these days.

he's in a perfect spot now and i'll be excited to watch him in the playoffs.

He's so happy that he reminisces about the Dance of Joy he did with the CURRENT leader.

Crawful sucked while he was here.

In his defense he's not good enough to carry a team as a top option - which he had to try to do here because we sucked so bad.

Yet, again, he sucked here.

That's why he got criticized. Simple stuff here.

Meanwhile he found a good spot in Atlanta and has helped them off the bench. He is going to get the 6th man of the year award. Good for him.

However you take him off Atlanta and put him back here and he's instantly thrust right back into a starting role and a top scoring option and he'd go right back to bricking away and throwing the ball away and we'd continue to lose.

Players that need a perfect setting aren't very good players. However the perfect setting can help a player excel and that's what is happening now.

Nice to see but let's not make some big deal out of it. He didn't do it here. He couldn't do it here. Dumping him was one of the happier days of the past two years for me as a fan. Ditto for Zach, Jeffries, Nate, and even Hill. Good riddance.

That was one of the worst things I ever saw. Scarred for life watching those two dance back and forth several times. It was one big WTF moment. Still is.

Papabear Says

Crawford was expected to do too much. If Lebron came here and we didn't make the playoffs I guess he would suck also. Crawford played hard for us but everyone who is traded from the Knicks suck is guess?

when D Lee is going off for 50+ & carrying us in crunchtime making game winning shot after game winning shot, maybe he'll get less of the criticism... funny thing is Jamal used to get crushed about his lack of defense while he was a Knick & yet people get awfully touchy whenever anyone utters a disparaging word about Lee's god awful defensive play.

i'm happy as hell for Jamal, he deserved to be a in better situation than he was in here in NY... & for his part David Lee probably does as well... but Knick fans need to think about the good of their franchise, not their sentimental personal likes or dislikes when it comes to certain players... pretty soon D Lee might take that title away for most games played with no playoffs if things don't change soon around here.

These were bad teams JCraw was on
What the devil kind of knick fan are you ?
The kid JCraw had ups and downs but he was ALL HEART in NY and made more big shots in past 2-3
yrs than anyone on D'Antoni can do current stints as Knick Coach.

JCraw didnt get into trouble here and was well liked.
Its cool you dont care for him but to throw him under the bus like he was a nobody is too harsh
brother

I'm surprised by that with all the MESS of Knicks which has been in here since Ewing left

So, Crawford played like trash....because the teams he was on were trash?

Doesn't say much for the player does it?

Star players (of which Jamal's fans think he is) play well regardless of their environment.

Jamal doesn't. He's simply not a very good player. He needs the perfect environment and the perfect role in order to excel. He's found it and that's good. But again you put him back here right now and he turns right back into CRAWFUL.

The fact that this guy has a huge fanboy following is down right mystifying. I can only chalk it up to young people growing up on AND-1 basketball and having no clue what basketball is really about. The theme where you could be down 50 points in a game but if you do a wicked crossover and brick a shot everyone screams "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" at the crossover like they're at Rucker Park and doesn't give a damn that the team is getting blown out or the player missed the shot. But hey, leave it to me to care about winning games LOL. I want Crawful back so we can win 28 games a year and watch him do his crossover and then brick his 20 footers and I'll be right there with ya "OMG LIKE DID YOU LIKE SEE THAT CROSSOVER HE PWNED THAT GUY!".

pfffft.
