Besides some of the D-League talent I've been discussing, two college players I really like for Summer League if they go undrafted are 6'10" PF/C Gavin Edwards and 6'6" SG Jon Diebler.
Provided we're even looking to add a shot-blocking presence & can't come up with Varnado, Edwards might be able to come in and fill that role for us on the ultra cheap. He's not Varnado but the impact on the game is pretty much the same only in smaller doses. A surprisingly decent shot-blocker from what I've seen the past couple of years (he really gives a lot of effort challenging shots - for the ones he doesn't get, he alters plenty of others) and like Varnado, he's the type of guy that you won't ever have to run any plays for, a nice lunch pail type that'll be content doing the dirty work for a club..He'll compete, block some shots, rebound a little, and contribute offensively going after loose balls, on put backs, hitting the offensive glass a little, etc.. And unlike most raw big men, this guy actually won't embarrass himself taking a mid-range jumper or at the FT line which is a plus. About 30 lbs. heavier than Varnado, another plus. Obviously Varnado's the first choice if they're looking for this type of player (and possibly worth burning a 2nd round pick or even moving up for), but if that option isn't there, inviting Edwards to SL might be a smart decision..
There might be some similar guys that have a tad more talent overall like a Jon Scheyer, but Diebler is one hell of a shooter. One of college basketball's best outside shooters actually - maybe THE best. Not just a stand-still shooter btw, I've seen him put the ball on the deck and drive it plenty when it's there. That plus size at 6'6" makes him all the more intriguing. He's a great support weapon to play alongside Evan Turner. Seems to have an impact every time I watch him play. Ohio State's still alive in this tournament and this kid's a big reason why (back to back 20 pt. games). I could definitely see him becoming a Jason Kapono type in the NBA at least, maybe something more...
