You can add Casspi to this post also.

We have spent a lot of time looking at MDA's decisions on who plays and how much they play because he is our guy, but I am having trouble understanding the diminished minutes Jason Thompson has received from Westphal. Thompson was getting significant minutes and producing when the Kings were playing there best ball, if I recall correctly, yet now he rarely gets 30MPG, and this has be the case for at least 2 months. Is he still injured, or are there other factors I am unaware of. Casspi, who also had a good stretch of solid minutes, has also seen diminished time.

I understand that Landry was a significant pickup, but it seems to me that the Kings are in the same situation as the Knicks- so shy not give kids like Thompson and Casspi significant minutes.

I have not gone on an Kings' sites, so this may be a topic there, but why coaches play this or that player has been a major topic of debate around here, and it would seem to me that you would want Tohmpson and Casspi to get significant minutes to assess there ultimate value for the team.

Just wondering if anyone is aware of issues going on with the Kings at this time.

Occasionally you get a rookie who fits into a style very well and becomes a consistent rotation player. But usually it takes time for that to happen. It is still a veterans league, and as long as you have guys getting paid guaranteed money, those guys will play over the kids.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

You picked a bad example. Westphal is getting called out for his offensive genius as much as D'Antoni and his inability to get along with his players. Players have outright called him out in the press. The man hasn't had the job for more than a year and has already had at least two votes of confidence from the GM. Never a good sign IMO.

maturity issues? who knows... Carl Landry is young too & they're obviously high on him as well... they gave Thompson a pretty extensive look in the starting role (106 games) so maybe they know something about him we all don't... at least he got the opportunity to show what he can bring to the table... that's all anyone ever wanted the Knicks to do w/their rooks this season.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
