Yes, I know there was another thread started on this topic but, before any lock is considered... as The Mayors Campaign Manager since his rookie season, I respectfully offer the following proclamation,

on this Saint Patrick's Day 2010

Whereas:

- Wilson Chandler has recovered quite well from a slow start that was the result of a Summer of inactivity due to injury, and had another season of incremental growth

- Wilson Chandler has shot a respectable 48 per cent from the field and averaged over 5 rebounds per game

- Wilson Chandler, has demonstrated the best practices of team play and positive attitude by starting 64 games and averaging 36 minutes per game.

- Mr Chandler has personified professionalism while playing despite injury for the majority of the season without a single negative word or excuse for an off night.

- Mr Chandler has also made s significant contribution on defense, highlighted by a game saving block (at the buzzer) against the most outstanding leaper in the NBA, the Atlanta Hawks, Josh Smith.

- and finally, as The Mayors Campaign Manager, I protest the lack of substance (and blatant mis-spelling) in the knicks1248 thread, as well as the deplorable character assassination that suggests The Mayor is injury-prone and NOT a warrior in the less flamboyant tradition of Charles Oakley, who did happen to own a purple suit with matching hat.

Let it be proclaimed that 17 March 2009 is officially Wilson Chandler Appreciation Day.

I just wish he would play with more emotion or a pissy attitude. We need more bad guys.

The Answer Man Dispels The Sad Myth Of Bad Guys

Q. jimimou - whachusmokin' on the daily man?

A. 'ere

"pissy attitude?"

Buddapaw - did Walt Frazier play with a pissy attitude? Emotion? Clyde got elbowed in the back of the neck on national television by Phil Chenier and didn't flinch. Never said a word. He simply checked to see who it was and proceeded to bust about 5 consecutive jumpers over a helpless Chenier. The Knicks won.

The Knicks don't need more bad guys.

The Knicks need two 6'10+ guys who can rebound, block shots and draw a double team.

I agree.. I don't think I've ever seen emotion (any kind) come from this man. Still, he's only going to get better right now and that's a good sign.

Never once did I say chandler is injury prone, I asked a question..simple as that..

I actually like the guy, so to say I'm trying to assinate his character or his potential makes you "mister wrong" and until we see him back on the court this season, your logical facts are just theory..

The Answer Man Likes People Who Make Him Laugh

knicks1248 - "your logical facts are just theory.."

The Answer Man: "Logical facts?" That is a good one. I try to avoid those messy things whenever possible. Can you please tell me what a "logical fact" is?

knicks1248 - "I actually like the guy, so to say I'm trying to assinate his character or his potential..."

AM: if there is EVER an opportunity to "assinate" someone, I trust you will keep that a private matter.
