T-Mac says all the right things,
His play isnt perfect due to breakdown in health and post knee surgery

However as a Knick fan you've got to love his Attitude and he shows leadership whether on court OR off on bench,
he supports his new teammates.

It would be a sin if T-Mac doesnt come back & I'd take T-Mac back if he can play 85-115 games at least
cause we all know he's far from 100%, not even 75% perhaps and he's trying he's showing his toughness
& maturity by showing up to work with a positive attitude despite Knicks poor record and recent play
before their new 2 game win streak.

DJ is also very big on guys whom want NY, says good things about playing here and wants to be Knick despite
other things written about them. As long as price is right $$ and it dont impact NY FA plans this yr and 2011
I'd love to have T-Mac on my team.

David Lee is good improved and had great past 2 yrs
But lets be fair and honest T-Mac is easily NY's BEST Player period hurt Or not, whether winning these games
or not. You cant replace talent and if T-Mac was more healthy it would be interesting to see what he'd really
bring to table for NY fans to see.

We'll see how T-Mac plans pan out over summer and if Knicks show they want him which is what Donnie Walsh stated.
FAs may want to be part of Knicks seeing T-Mac here and not afraid of the Big Apple mecca of basketball.

i'd take T-Mac back on a 1 year deal, maybe offer him something like $5M w/the promise that if he stays healthy for the season we'd sign him to a multi-year extension in 2011... i doubt he'd sign on for veteran's minimum dollars when a guy like Grant Hill got $3M with a player option from the Suns just last summer.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I would also like TMac back if the price is right and he is not injured.

I am, however, fearful of posters who speak of themselves in the 3rd person. It just scares me.

The right price for me is a Vet's Minimum contract. Play 1 year for the minimum. We'll keep his Bird Rights. He stays healthy, he gets a real contract. If not, he hasn't mangled our offseason. Can make any bets this offseason on unhealthy players. It'll be 5 or 6 years before we have cap space again.
You know I gonna spin wit it

TMAC looks like burnt toast to me --- he better plan on some massive summer rehab program if he hopes to get those pencil legs back into NBA shape.

He has looked mostly -- AWFUL.

He also has killed any quick ball movement flow when he's in the game. He takes bad - low % shots and takes all day to get his shot off while pounding the ball and everyone else standing around watching him.

For the veteran minimum -- MAYBE -- otherwise go in another direction.

TMac looked pretty terrible against the Celtics last night. He was jacking up hella bad shots all night, mostly from three point range under heavy pressure. And I agree, he hurts the flow of the offense with his "dribble the ball at the top while sussing out his plan of attack" approach to setting up the play. That's not MDA's system, it's perhaps the opposite.

We need ball movement on the offensive side, not burning half the clock while dribbling slowly around the perimeter. If he still had the hops to make his own shots, then maybe. But he is not explosive, so wasting time when we could be moving the rock to an open shooter is not really acceptable. His days are done. Vet minimum to give him a chance to resurrect his career without pressure (due to having Lebron). Otherwise, take a pass.

Its early but I'm all for bring T-Mac back 100% for next season, *as long as price is right
