Was at the Grizzly game last night and they gave me plenty of face time on MSG according to my wife. I was sitting right behind the goal by the Knicks bench and I was the only guy in the arena with the bright Orange championship throwback warm-up jacket on. I had on my Clyde #10 cap and even got Walt to sign it. Wow what a night. I would have never gotten him to sign that at the garden but since I stood out so much during the game and was the only person cheering every Knick basket I guess he had to give it up. I going to post a picture of the hat on all my posts from now on.
Now as far as the game and what I observed by sitting sooo close. Gallo is soft as a cookie and turns for Dantoni's approval on every single play. He has got to learn how to use his size to his advantage ! He is playing all out of position, D.Lee is a lot shorter than Gallo and about the same body frame. On a couple of Defensive switches, Gallo ended up on Gasol and played him well because of his length where as D.Lee was completely out sized at Center. Billy Walker is electric and even had Grizz fans mumbling who is that kid .... wow. TD should be and should have been starting because even as a rookie, the rest of the team fed off of his defensive energy in the 4th quarter come back. Will appeared as if he was not in the game mentally and if he had showed up and Gallo would hit at least a fourth of his shots, we could have stolen this game. 39 point 4th quarter with the youngsters as the focus of the offense. Bender's length could have helped on Gasol and Zbo as well.
Bottom line is that we need a closer at the end of games. Your never out the game in the NBA but a guy that can score consistently down the stretch or draw double teams is necessary to be a winning team. TD and Billy are big parts of the Knicks future. Gallo has a long way to go although I think he will be a much better player along side a consistent scorer.
That's my spill, had a ball, hope u guys caught a shot of the Boogie Man on MSG, PS..... the Grizz mascot also sprayed me up good with crazy string as the crowd cheered.... that just made me even prouder to be a Knick fan and D.Lee and those guys clapped as I stood up and brushed off my shoulders.... LOL
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
