MDA needs to commit to developing the young guys instead of just giving the fans lip service for a change!

Toney Douglas & Bill Walker are playing like they wanna be here after this season right now... they're hungry & eager to prove what they can do... & Sergio has not been doing a good job of orchestrating either... Douglas is not a natural PG but at least he plays hard on both ends of the floor & is a threat to score on every possession... i'd much rather groom him in the role going forward than Sergio... both of them need a lot of work on their orchestration skills anyway, but Sergio is not worth retaining for $2.8 million next year when every dollars' worth of cap space is so vital this summer.

& forget about this stupid T-Mac experiment, the guy is not reliable & likely will not be returning next season... Eddie House should not be seeing minutes over TD either, everyone knows what he brings to the table & that's a limited role playing vet off the bench... there is no possible upside in playing guys like him at this point.

IMO this should be the rotation for the rest of the season:

PG - Douglas
SG - Wilson
SF - Walker
PF - Gallo
C - Lee
6 - Al
7 - T-Mac (Giddens when he's ready to play)
8 - Sergio
9 - Curry (if he ever gets his lazy ass ready)

TD starts tonight... novel concept to start your young guys & let them develop during a season that's already down the tubes... wish i'd thought of it.

Switch Wilson with Walker at SG and we're good.

either way, doesn't really matter... both are wing players... T-Mac is shot, let's face it.

Not only is it logical, but hey, it actually works you know. I am looking forward to seeing how this unfolds over the rest of the season. Douglas played an awesome game against Dallas and it didn't seem like he was having a hard time or anything, it was just smooth. Walker is something else tho, the man is tenacious and his range is unreal.

i'm very happy w/Bill Walker... he's a pleasant surprise out of the trade deadline deals that went down... hopefully Giddens proves to be a keeper too, would love to see him get into the action at some point.

TD is a much better player than Sergio IMO... definitely worth developing him for the rest of the year as the starting PG.

The best thing is that TD plays very good, active defence.. I couldn't be more happy for him to finally stick it to the man..

dude reminds me of Chris Childs with his ball hawking D... he really gets into the guy's grille on defense & runs hard through picks.

PG--TD/Sergio

Would anyone be adverse to that next season?

If we did land Point-Forward LeBron James I think it'd be just fine.

Walker is a very nice find. He should make everyone say "Nate WHO?"

so far so good, but I have only really seen Walker for like 2 games now. Not sure why some were saying that in addition to getting Walker and Giddens the Knicks should have also gotten a first rounder.... aren't Walker/Giddens similar to getting first rounders? with the obvious caviots of injuries.

Could be good. Walker at the 2 and your point forward. But I'd prefer Bosh at center. And Gay with the youger body frankly at SF. Mix in Gallo and Chan
A S&T with Toronto for Bosh would be the best way to go. Then add Rudy and you avoid the whole number thing as well ;) And he can just wear 6 wherever he goes. And when he comes and does that powder thing. We'd dust his arse I believe.

only way u can have either TD or Sergio as your starting PG is if u have a point wing like Lebron or Wade... otherwise this team will need a PG who can orchestrate... if we could trade for Rubio i'd do it in a heartbeat.

I get the feeling that DW has never given up on the idea of getting Rubio from Kahn. I dont' know what it would take to get him, but that would be a really unreal acquisition for the future of this team.

just to update, Rubio won't be coming to the States until after next season at the earliest:

Now you're about to get lumped in with genius D'Antoni and JW44 (those who know everything and only their way is the right way) If half of the entire game is spent on defense how can it only be about one phase of the offense? You have rigidly confined yourself to one set of parameters and tactics and therefor player set and skill set. Nuff said. TD's feel for the game is progressing nicely. His To's are falling and his assists are rising.

the hell are you talking about? you need a damn orchestrator on the floor to run an offense... that's basic basketball 101... chill out with your "nuff said" nonsense... i'm not ragging on TD, i love the kid's energy & his D, but if we want to be a serious contender next season we will need a player who can orchestrate out on the floor... whether TD can be that for us next year or not, who knows, but i would want some better insurance policy in place if we don't land us Lebron or Wade next season.
