man i just read through the game thread. so much al hate! have you guys been watching all season? how may times has al been the only player on this team willing to get to the hoop and get nasty? did we want to wait around all game every game for duhon and lee to do their slow motion pick and roll? or wilson chandler to decide to do his 2 or 3 imitations per game of an offensive player? or danilo gallinari to finally get the perfect set up for a wide-open 3? oh i see you guys are still getting starry-eyed thinking back on all those jeffries 3's.

he just fumbles the ball too much...it doesn't make sense...I don't remember as a kid so many slips of the ball...he's not a very good basketball player, he's a scorer but in the end, is pretty horrible.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Al's a jersey boy, so he's cool by default. But dude's a black hole. On a winning team he's pretty good. On a losing team he's the worst kind of player

Has Al ever been on a winning team? I think his early Pacers teams were good. I think on a winning team he'd just be more of a bench player asked to come in and score for 20 minutes a night but then he wouldn't be happy. I think that's what happened in Golden State. That or Don Nelson being crazy.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

those percentages mean nothing.. With Al, stats mean nothing.. All you have to do is watch the game and you will see that he is a negative sum player... Al is not a scrub, so no one is expecting bad stats, but as a teamate he is a bum... He shoots when he shouldn't, he is a black hole and a disrupter.. shooting percentages or averages won't tell you that.. you just have to watch.. and when you do, you clearly see what I am talking about..

At least he is still from earth. No matter the helmet thing. Life is more difficult for some than for others obviously. I am sure the headband provides aerodynamic stabilisation. similar to the way a gyroscope does for a helicopter. has anyone taken note if it is out of kilter and somehow causing this 'oops! I fall down' phenomenon?

Al has his boneheaded moments where u just wanna shake your head & laugh, but then he goes off & looks unstoppable & reminds u of the type of talent he really has... very hot & cold type player, but one that can help a team in the right situation... if we had a true orchestrator like Lebron, Wade, Nash, etc. who would dictate the flow of the offense, i wouldn't mind having a guy like Al on the team... he's very versatile & IMO his defense is underrated.

Al Harrington is the forward version of Jamal Crawford... he'd be an asset on a contender but relying on him is a structural error

Exactly the point....He makes mistakes that are too costly to just ignore cause he just drop 25, 6, and 3..

I keep telling people, he has a college ball IQ..he's literally the dumbest player on the roster considering how long he's been playing in the NBA..You can all see why nelly was like "dude your a fkng wrench in the spokes"

He has had 3 good games, but for the most part, the dude kills the offensive flow and makes bonehead decisions. We definitely need to let him go at the end of the season.

Word. It is painfully obvious that Al is a guy with skills who doesn't know how to play a team sport. He's like the guy at the playground hoop that won't give up the rock, thinks hoops is a game of "let me show you what I got". Thing is, Al's idea of "what he's got" differs markedly from his actual skills. Lebron James he's not, but try telling him that.

I am sick of his out-of-control romps into the paint. He can take his team-killing stats and shove em.

Why am I going to support Al? This guy is a dumber player than Jamal Crawford...and that's saying something.

who u calling DUB?

i stand by my statements. al's the only one out there bringing balls on the court every night. his shot was off last night and his minutes have to be managed but most of the other cats on this team only take the very occasional foray to the hoop. that’s why we get so excited every time wilson or danilo do it - because it's few and far between. also watch al's D and watch who's involved whenever there's a physical skirmish under the hoop.

i'm with u Marv... Wilson & Gallo are just as inconsistent as Al & yet they get a pass because they're homegrown guys... sometimes i get annoyed just as much at Gallo when he refuses to be aggressive going to the hole & settles for so many outside J's... when i see a guy like Al taking it strong to the hoop consistently, i can't be mad at him... yeah, he gets out of control & makes boneheaded plays, but u take the good w/the bad when it comes to Al... he doesn't play scared tho, that's for sure... right now i can't say the same for Gallo, who i am still a fan of, but the kid needs to play w/more conviction & stop being so scared of taking charge.
