Obviously the diff. between that situation and ours is that the Lakers were at least competitive and the Knicks..well..

That and Kobe was on a rookie contract which allowed them to sign pieces whereas us not so much.

In hindsight if we had acquired a different coach and drafted different we'd have a greater chance of getting Lebron. I dont like Lopez but the guy is a very solid two way center add a young PG like Jennings and we would be a very enticing young team.

Who's to say Gallo will or will not be a better player than Lopez at this point? Ask me in two years, after Gallo has shown or hasn't shown the ability to improve in the NBA. Same with Brook.

I'm not a fan of Jennings.

I think I would trade our franchise for the bucks. They at least are getting better.

nice read - and clearly things are different with today's cba vs. what the lakers were working with. I mean, they did outbid Orlando.

We can't do that without resorting to the fuzzy math of 'location' and 'endorsement potentials'.
