Howard Eskin of NBC-10 in Philadelphia reported on Sunday night that the 76ers will fire coach Eddie Jordan after the season.

Eskin added that the 76ers will likely look at Jeff Van Gundy, Jay Wright, Doug Collins and Avery Johnson as Jordan's replacement.

76ers general manager Ed Stefanski wouldn't respond to the rumor.

"I don't comment on rumors," he said.

and they said light skinned brothers were making a comeback...

Jeff Van Gundy....no. If he ever returns, I only want to see him back with this franchise. I really miss the guy.

I see Philly hiring Doug Collins. They almost did last time around.

Don't see it..Van Gundy has a sense of entitlement...He quit the Knicks once he knew they were headed for decline..He wants to coach a winner...Nets aren't ready to compete as winners yet..

Avery Johnson would be my choice if i were the Sixers... he would work great with Jrue Holiday, Iggy, Speights & Young & get that team to be 1 of the better defensive teams in the EC.

why give a coach one season..jordan did a good job with the washington bullets..stefanski is an overated player evaluator..passing over dany granger for a&m's wright

I like eddy jordan, he has been givin some crappy rosters over the past few years.. when the wiz were healthy, he was getting a lot of wins. .guy can coach..
