He's to eratic, and without leadership on the floor with him, he's going to have mental lapses...... costly one's.
How will he get better if he does not play???
He has got to get more minutes the rest of the year.
You look at what Collison has done with his minutes in NO. He has his issues- 7 turnovers with his 20 assist game- but that is what you are going to get with a rookie. Douglas will probably never be the distributor that Collison is, but I don't see why he can put up decent offensive numbers and play some good D if he gets the minutes. Douglas has yet to find his comfort zone as a player on this team, but that is only because he has not been allowed to play. He has to get his minutes, even if he screws up... it is the only way for him to grow as a player.
Walsh should lay down the law with MDA about giving Douglas consistent minutes. (Yeah, I know he won't.) TMac should play significant minutes in limited games, and in the games where he is resting, Sergio and Douglas should split the time (24/24)at PG, or alternate games where one plays 30 MPG, and the other gets the remaining 18 minutes.
