Gonzaga vs St Maty's

Im sure everyone knows about the guys from Gonzaga but the C from St Mary's--Omar Samhan--he's lost a tremendous amount of weight over his 4 years--he really gives good effort. He's close to 7 feet tall with Bynum's type wingspan. He's not fast up and down but he hustles and he gets good position and knows how to post up and use his powerful body very well. He's a load and he's quite skilled. No one mentions him but he obviously has a spot in the NBA--and as we are void of 5's--you have to look at all of them seriously--especially when you a have legit chance to acquire 1. He's a better prospect that Jerome Jordan--Jordan does not give the effort that this guy does--if he did he would be a sure fire 1 but he is far from that. This kid however is a 110%er--he really hustles and plays hard/and has a good body with nice skills. I think he might be up there with Jamine Petersen as sleeper city 2nd round.

If you have nothing to do an the Knicks are down by 20--9PM watch this game--watch this C from St Mary's. If he was on a different team he would get a lot more press. He's not the fastest guy--he used to be much heavier--but he's in great shape and really hustles and is very skilled and long--good shotblocker and great lane clogger who also has offensive skills.

Caught about 5 mins. of this game before I passed out -- St. Mary's was really taking it to 'em...Samhan's definitely puttin' up some big numbers...I actually think C Robert Sacre for the Zags ain't half bad for a 7 footer. Saw him a few times -- legit 7', looks pretty long, can block a shot and has some good offensive skills on the block. Samhan's a senior; Sacre's technically still a sophomore as he redshirted last year after only playing a few games before shutting it down for good in a failed attempt to come back from a broken foot. He's had a nice comeback year, really his first year getting some extended mins. Looks like Samhan might be ready to go -- I think Sacre needs to continue developing -- if he continues to progress, he could be a factor in the NBA next year or the year after maybe.

Samhan is another guy we should seriously be contemplating with his size and skill for where we pick.

Guy is the best fundamental post player in the nation--hes just not fast up and down--but he hustles. hell be a steal in the 2nd round--I know bradd miller wasnt drafted because he was *slow* but he had a dam goof career.
