Gallo has essentially been given a starting role by MDA because he is a friend of his father...He has never earned it...While I'm in favor of giving the young guys who will be here in the future minutes, starting roles should be earned...MDA is not doing Gallo any favors...The kid may think he doesn't have to work hard to get where he is going because of his "godfather" as a coach...I really hope he works hard in the offseason on his game..He really needs to...MDA has been willing to bench those who doesn't deserve it as well as those who do...Gallo seems untouchable...What gives???

I really don't know what happened to Gallo. The only thing that I've been hearing was that he likes to party a lot. Him and Dohoun. Some players just can't handle New York, they get caught out there. Gallo needs to leave the party life alone and work on him game.

I agree, but he's in his early twenties and a rookie. Let's cut him a little slack. He's not a veteran like Doolittle, so expectations shouldn't be too unrealistic. He's gonna be a stud.

I think I am done posting on real GM--it's just a bunch of kids who have no idea about basketball.

They were trying to make an argument that Gallinari is a better fundamental rebounder than Lee.

I asked if Gallinari is so much better and also two inches taller with more length--why did David Lee have 36 rebounds--31 DEFENSIVE to Gallo's5 3 Defensive over the last two games? We were +3 and even in the last two games in the reb dept--why? David Lee pulled down 36 frikin rebounds! David Lee PURSUES rebounds--he gets good position and has his hands up and gives the EFFORT needed to get the ball. Who has played basketball here--you pursue rebounds with effort---effort rebounding is effort.

The answer must be David is stealing rebounds from Gallo! Maybe Gallo will pull up his pants be a man and go get me 8-10 rebounds tonight against the very soft YI.

to be fair Gallo is not a bad rebounder, he's average at best for a player his size, one has to remember he's posted at corners on offense thruout nearly every game, the ball plays thru the top of the key thru david lee and whoever is playing point, gallo's main objective is to create space by posing as an outside threat, so on most plays he's planted at the corners or on the 3pt line just right or left of the corners of the key, on defense he's usually restricted to the wings while the post is usually guarded by harrington, lee, chandler, he has good ability to stick with his man and he's pretty active trying for the block, he doesnt get many many good chances box out and fight for a rebound throught the course of the game,
Gallo should have to earn his starting slot...
