I know that you had some type of fantasy that I was fabricating the basis of the *the 6th year* but all of these guys who work in the NBA know it's a very serious bargaining factor for the team who has the best chance to sign him--his own team. We will have no idea what salaries will be 6 years from now --we just saw a club sold for 175mm that the owner paid 300mm for not long ago. We know that the salary cap could move substantially down in 2 years--why isnt that 6th yer guarantee extremely attractive? If Chris Bosh hurts his knee with he Knicks in year 3 and isnt quite the same player--will Jim Dolan pay him 30 mm after his 5 year contract expires---NO. It's not BRIGGS bringing it up it's B Colangelo.
