At long last we can finally focus on the building blocks from 2009 - 2010 and move on. The whole Lebron thing sold a few extra papers but it was a longshot at best. So, with the most noble of intentions, while creeping through the brain of Donnie Walsh - expect the unexpected.

G - Sergio Rodriguez is a nice step in the right direction but unless he can develop a more consistent shot - any shot, he is not the answer. But he will be fun to watch. Expect a 2011 deal to reshape this position.

G - Bill Walker works hard over the Summer and proves to be an excellent reserve player in the tradition of John Starks. Joe Johnson is looking more feasible but I don;t like him in New York. This is an easier position to fill if a General Manager knows what he is looking for. Expect an free agent signing here.

F - Wilson Chandler is shopped undercover. This is a MUST position to determine a dominant player. The gamble is whether The Mayor's learning curve continues on an upward slope. Would be perfect spot for a 6'10 flyer who can rebound and take some defensive pressure off Lee. Expect a desperate and complicated draft day deal to snag the 6'11 Lithuanian, Donatas Motiejunas. That is my story an I'm stickin to it

F - David Lee resigns and is locked in at big forward. Backed by sophomore Danilo Gallinari.

F/C - the alternatives are few, yet this is the position of most need, after lead guard. The dude needs to be 6'11 and have an interior presence on both ends. He needs soft hands, quick feet and a hard butt, to box out. Candidates over 27 need not apply. If only Marcus Camby attends the media training session and doesn't bond with Spree on VanGundy's bench. Sheesh.

Did I fall asleep for six months or something?

Last time I checked, it's March, LeBron still hasn't signed an extension in Cleveland, and all anyone seems to want to talk about is that clown.

Earl? Did you invent a time machine and visit October 2010? What was it like? Who did we sign?

The Answer Man Puts The Wayback Machine On Fast Forward

Q. cosmic - Did you invent a time machine and visit October 2010?

A. Yes, as a matter of fact I just got back and lemme tell you, it wasn't pretty. Donnie Walsh shocked the world and retired 2 weeks before the NBA draft. The Knicks rehired Scott Layden to manage the war room at 2 Penn Plaza, while Director of Pro Scouting & Free Agency John Gabriel, tendered his immediate resignation. Layden trades the last of Isiah's guys - Lee and Chandler, for a can of magic beans.

Q. cosmic - Did I fall asleep for six months or something?

A. Definitely. After the magic beans are sold at auction for a Batman comic, Layden is fired by Charles Dolan, who turns around and hires Chris Mullin as President of Basketball Operations

Q. cosmic - What was it like?

A. It was worse than watching a black and white French flick with subtitles with your girlfriend

Q. cosmic - Who did we sign?

A. Chris Bosh and a player to be named later in 2011.

Scary stuff indeed.

As to the final answer. Bosh and..... Melo in 2011? Kept Lee? I wouldn't be too upset.

Bosh
Lee
Melo
Chandler
?

I guess Gallo is gone, huh? S&T for Bosh?

If The Answer Man's prognostications prove true and we don't have a shot at The King...

Lee in S&T for Bosh (can we dump Curry in that deal?).
Gallo stays.
Chandler to Wolves for rights to Rubio (Melo gonna be our swinger).
Melo in 2011.
Rubio in 2011.

We can deal with the hole at the 4 through the draft, or figure out how to get Hill's arse back here.

F*ck Lebron if we could do that. He just a silly dancin', slam-jam prancin', too-long high-fivin', billionaire-wantin' foo.

This is what happens when people who can predict future gets together to discuss the future. It's an incredible contet rich discussion, where everyone in the know proves it.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Go Big Or Go Home (the bootleg tapes)

G - 6'8 McGrady's knees heal and he shares the love at 6'8 in the latest variation on the BBC (the big backcourt)... Sergio Rodriguez as backup

G - 6'6 Bill Walker proves to be the real thing and becomes a crowd favorite with his breathtaking aerial artistry

F - 6'11 Lithuanian, Donatas Motiejunas. That is my story an I'm stickin to it. The 6'8 Mayor is not a bad fall back.

F - 6'9 David Lee resigns and is locked in at big forward. Backed by sophomore Danilo Gallinari.

F/C - 6'11 Chris Bosh gets the cheese.
