A young mother who falsely cried rape, sending an innocent man to prison for nearly four years, will experience firsthand what he suffered -- she'll spend one to three years behind bars for perjury.

She falsely accused a man of rape and let him rot in prison for 4 years. For a really stupid reason too! So that she would save face with her friends. And she lied to the cops, the ADA, the doctor! What a joke. Its a ****ing disgrace people like her are not going to prison for 15-20 years. They marginalize real rape victims.

seriously, she ruined this man's life over feelings of shame? she should have been sentenced to a lot more than 1-3 years for this crime for all the pain & anguish she caused this man & his family & the permanent scars he'll bear in his memory of this experience for the rest of his life... this is just as bad as the actual crime she accused him of if not worse.

What sucks worse is that there is no telling how much damage his prison stay did to him, his personal life, his future earnings potential. She should be sued for everything she is worth for violating his civil rights and she should be crippled financially for the rest of her miserable existence.

She should have served the same amount of time he served while in prison and be forced to pay restitution. This highlights some very problematic issues within our Judicial system a man is sentenced to prison based on one person's testimony. How many more cases are we going to see of this with men sitting in prison for years and are proven innocent after DNA testing.

It's ironic that DNA testing was originally conceieved so we could strengthen evidence and get more convictions but has now lead to so many convictions being overturned.

Let's hope this guy can get his life back and be happy and that prison hasn't hardened him or worse, taught him to be a criminal to survive.

this is disgusting. this woman should rot in jail for twice as long as the man did AND be forced to pay him restitution.

Freakin nightmare!

This guy lost the benefit of the doubt because of his previous arrests. I hope he can make a good life for himself that is both non violent and productive. He is still only 27, still very young.

article mentions her confessing what she did to her priest & him convincing her to come forward w/the admission after new DNA testing proved that he was innocent i think.

this dude probably got raped up the butt on numerous occasions while he was in jail for rape & even alluded to this in the article... he seems real forgiving considering what he's just been through... i would want some serious revenge.
