well for various reasons the time has come for me to sell my beautiful Knicks logo basketball autographed by Ewing. I got this at a charity auction in '95 - I've got the authenticity certification as well. I figured I would try Ebay, does anyone have any other suggestions? I would love for it to go to a true fan who will appreciate it. Any ideas are appreciated, and please feel free to make an offer if you want, or pass it along to anyone you know who may be interested...

here's some pics if anyone wants to check it out:

I'm sorry to hear this. Did you get the ball appraise yet? I wouldn't recommend putting it up for auction anywhere before you see what it's prospective value could be. After appraisal, I would recommend Ebay for an item like this.

Dont do it, bruh. You're gunna regret it. If you're hard up for cash then sell blood, sell sperm. Rifle through your garage and find something else.

If you're selling it for some other reason. LIke your lady told you to "get rid of that stupid thing" or if you're just un-enamored with Knick basketball, then you need to go sell yourself on EBAY 'cause you're done.

Wow, how much you looking for? I have some friends who would like a shot to buy it pre-auction. Post here first and maybe I can make an offer you wouldn't refuse (i.e., no mafia shyte involved, just cash).

Sounds good, Moonangie - I'm still researching the worth (and may get it appraised), but I'd be more than happy to entertain any offers if you/your friends are interested!

I'm really not sure yet...I'm asking a few more knowledgeable friends of mine, and then I should have a better idea of what to ask. again, any offers are totally welcome - I'm also going to look around and see what similar items have sold for.

Well, in googling I immediately found a standard basketball in rougher shape signed by Ewing for $150 on ebay, and another nicer standard basketball signed by Ewing at sportsmemorabilia.com for a little over $1300...helluva price gap, haha. So far I can't find another ball like this one though, which is awesome. still also waiting to hear back from some folks with price advice.

$1300 for a ewing ball? Is it signed by Ty Cobb? Babe Ruth? Pickachu?

Oh, its got a "Certficate of Authenticity"! There you go!!!!

Hey, Nice ball, enjoy it and if you sell it I hope you get a big payday and the new owner also enjoys the round ball onced touched by Patrick himself!

hahaha, I was surprised by their price as well - but I'm a long way from being an expert.

BTW - if anyone here is knowledgeable regarding memorabilia, feel free to throw an appraisal at me as to what I should accept outside of auction for this ball.

but if you suggest 5 bucks and then offer me 10 for being so good looking, I'll be suspicious.

Wow that is quite a collectors item. I would suggest holding onto it especially if the true value is closer to $150.00.

Yeah, there's no way I'd let it go for anything close to that - I took that to be the low end of the spectrum, and for a very worn out item. I dunno, I'll see what kinds of advice i get.

Welllll the advice I've gotten has spanned a pretty wide price range... I'm not sure where to have it appraised locally, and honestly I've been extremely busy. If someone wants to make an offer, now's the time - otherwise I will auction the ball in the next day or two.. I honestly don't know exactly what number to put on it, so I'm just gonna give a chance to make offers. so we'll see!

You were first in line moonangie, so if your friends still are interested, make me an offer. If not, that's totally cool too.

again I'm bad_andy75@hotmail.com if anyone wants to get ahold of me outside of here...

Take the time to get it appraise. Ewing's autograph from his playing days is very rare and consider a bit of a collector's item to some.

thanks for the advice - i definitely agree - if I don't see the right numbers in auction i won't sell.

the ball is on ebay now, the auction has begun. don't say i didn't warn you, and get used to the words "reserve not met" HAHA. jk. i'm a reasonable guy.
