...is like not really a part of this team? Meaning that we got an All-Star player who never played for this team, and it feels like Lebron James type of deal - anticipation and it's quite thrilling. How the Garden reacted when he got the ball. There was excitement for a team that has been so horrible all these years, and to have someone like McGrady whom I feel still had something left in the tank, it just felt weird to see him in a Knicks uniform. Very similiar buzz to when Stephon came to the team I remember reading what a newspaper wrote - I do agree, but feel that McGrady is not going to turn into what Stephon had unforutnately become - a ballhog, selfish crazy mofo.

I had distanced myself from the Knicks games for quite some time and stopped caring. I was at the 50 point loss with my girlfriend and my best friend and his girlfriend and I just had to laugh at how horrible it was. We were sitting in the 100s section and it was pathetic. Now, I'm actually looking forward to watching the Knicks and when the game was on, I was actually getting into it, much like I used to...when they lost, to me it felt like we let McGrady down - the look on his face as he walked off court - I was actually sad and upset that we couldn't start on a good note. Looking forward to the game tonight.

it reminded me more of when Sprewell came here. There was quite a buzz during that first preseason game

Exactly. I was saying that the other night. The debut felt like Spree's.

Difference is we stink this go around and TMac might just be a 30 game rental in the end.

The trades made the team interesting again for now but I think that will wear off once the losses continue and we realize...well, seen it now and it's not new anymore and the season is over, so, well, see yas in July.

But for the meantime to just have a couple of exciting games is nice.

T-Mac + Lee + LeBron is not a bad trio. If we can't get a combo of LeBron and Wade or LeBron and Bosh, then I would say that's the next best option. Offseason will be interesting. I've ignored the Knicks for quite a while because I couldn't take it anymore, but this has me interested again.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Cant slot T-Mac into the starting lineup. The guys knee is clearly bothering him and this is only his 2nd game.

He'd be ok off the bench if he is willing to accept that role.

Well it's not obvious and nobody is taking shots. Let's check at the end of the season. It was optimism for a team that hadn't deserved any optimism for four or five years. Sorry if that offends your senses.

You mean 9 years?

A simple starphuch returns him to the little yellow bandwagon bus!

TMac goes out and now all are saying he's cooked?

First off it was a knee knock that benched him. Second, I don't think playing 32 min is smart out of the gate but if to prove a point he did it. Is it any wonder the man is sore two days later? Maybe he should ease it back in.

Im not saying he comes back enough to warrant enthusiasm, but im encouraged by what he has shown and one would expect "bumps" in the road.

Just to show you the power of the "Starphuch" is evident by LIFans return to the garden, and so inspired to string a brilliant thread!

Or that. Well, I got excited when we first got Isiah and Marbury. But, it's true, the excitement wasn't justified or deserved, because they were both tools. ;)

For some people the color of the sky is obvious and for others it takes some time. And yes, people are taking shots, or they were on Saturday. After the Bucks game not so much, as what was previously obvious to some became obvious to others.

Man this is a LAYDENish move. Layden would bring Allstars that were past allstar level play.
The difference is Layden would do it to create a buzz while Walsh did it withing the framework of his plan
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Anyone who is that reactive has trouble with long-term reasoning. The early signs aren't perfect, but the ballot isn't in. I know it's tough, but just a tiny bit more patience?

Also, if TMac doesn't work out, it's not like it was necessarily plan A.

Nice to see you again Solace. I have no idea what you are talking about...seriously. "Trouble with long term reasoning!"

That was a good one. Go do some study on how players who rely on athleticism who have had multiple cartilage surgeries and then a microfracture do in the LONG-TERM and then come back and reason with me. Thanks.

Nice to see you too. Anyway...

What I mean is you have a point, and it's noted. You seem to indicate that it's already a failure and I think it's too early to judge. A sore knee is concerning, but a top 5 NBA player TMac is obviously unrealistic. Hoping for a solid starter plus really isn't that unreasonable.

And yes, people here are extremely reactive. It's not like TMac having microfracture surgery was a new revelation that only happened last night. TMac could have a 35 point game and then we'll get posts of who cares about LeBron, as long as we have TMac. In your case, you're consistent and I respect that (I just don't agree with you most of the time). :)

Anyway, that's my last post on it.
