WOW. I remember a thread earlier in the year where only the top 3 east teams were above .500 and I remember saying it happens every year and eventually the top 6 or 7 teams make it to .500 or above...and not to focus on who is #8 or the fact that we were just 2 games behind, etc.

But I didn't expect THIS.

Bobcats - if you extrapolate - get into the playoffs with a 43-39 record. They own the tiebreak over us. We're 8 games behind.

To get into the playoffs we would have to go 44-38.... which means we have to finish the year 25-4.

LMFAO. Wow.

Just in case the usual suspects were thinking that TMac and SRod were going to save the season....well, there's your math.

Just for the record, believe it or not, there is a thread on rgm where a couple of fans believe we can and will still make the playoffs because we traded for those guys. lol.

Fun fact: The top 4 east teams combined have a better overall record than the top 4 west teams combined.

The EAST is BACK.

Another fun fact:

The Cats became the first team in 25 years to lose to the worst record in the league (Nets) and then beat the best record in the league the next night (Cavs).

The Cats took 3 of 4 against the Cavs this season. If the Cats end up #8 - we could have another Warriors/Mavs moment. The Cats seem to have their number and the trades for Tyrus and Old Man Ratliff are looking good so far.

My son and I were talkin about the Bobcats and really we had to give it to LB and MJ. They've done a great job. I like the moves they made and how the team has developed. I still hate the Bobs but I respect the way they've played.

We had some real battles with them. We actually at one time played at a similar level before we dropped off.

The Cats are playing some serious ball. Hate the UNC connection and all but these guys are playing hard and playing to win. Every game they play well and show a how well the team is gelling, I kick Isiah and Dol-ass over and over again in my mind for getting rid of LB.

Going back to the past I hated how Larry conducted himself. Right or wrong - the guy acted in the most unprofessional manner possible.

I wanted Dolan to fire BOTH Isiah and Larry that offseason.

Going back in time, we probably should have fired Isiah and given Larry the dual role. But, given how he conducted himself, I just can't see how ANY boss would do such a thing. So Larry really screwed the pooch as they say. The way he went about things was terrible. Maybe he was right, but, the way he went about it scuttled any chance that he would get his way.

What are you going to do. It's in the past. The old man made what...I think it was 34M for one season in the end (10M the first year, 24M arbitration on the rest of the 50M+ contract)

Jeez....

And some fans have the gall to blast Walsh for cleaning up all that mess left behind.

I haven't bashed Walsh for anything yet. And yes Larry made mistakes but he had to contend with divabury running his mouth to the press. His biggest mistake was going behind Isiah/Dolan and talking to the press as well. That was a low class thing to do. But when you have your GM and a complete A$$hole like Marbury hobnobbing together and dissing you all the time, you can forgive and old dude for getting emotional.
