Myself, if he can come in and run a fastbreak, drive the lane and not be afraid to take and make layups, shoot anywhere from 40-45% from the field, get 7-9 assists a game and just play smart bball Im satisfied. I know we all got tired of watching dudu drive and pass out when the layup was there. Also in MDAS system we are supposed to be running, dudu never did that ( he was stuck in bring the ball down and set up mode). Just My humble opinion. Oh and be CONSISTANT!!!!

i expect him to be Steve Blake... a solid option at PG but nothing that will light our eyes on fire.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

i expect a point guard more aggressive at leading the break and more aggressive at taking it to the rim and actually being able to finish.

i expect him to take the starting point guard job from duhon rather easily.

I expect him to be better than Duhon but that is not saying much.

If Sergio is not better than Duhon, he should go back to Spain.

It's hard to know just what he is gonna be like as a player here with a much bigger role, but from what i've seen of the kid, he's got the kind of skills that should be successful in this system. He's got far superior court vision over Duhon and he LOVES to push the ball and take advantage of early offense. That's actually his natural disposition, which is freakin great!!! Duhon's natural mode is to go slow, whereas Sergio wants to go all the time. I like that his pace of play is faster, but not out of control. I think he'll do great.

Hey, when Duhon was just OK, we had a chance to win games, so Sergio should be successful.

I have no idea. Point guards can flourish in this O. Even Duhon had a great stretch of games here. He'll have every opportunity to prove whether or not he can be a starting type PG here.

I expect what Duhon would have produced if he actually made shots.

Are you kidding me? Du-du is hands downs the worst starting pg ive ever seen, doesnt run, scared to shoot, passes out on open lay-ups. serge is a HUGE UPGRADE

Someone actually complained that Sergio had a lack of speed... Have you seen Duhon run this team like a giant snail? Sergio is gonna look like the Flash compared to Duhon.

So if Duhon was out of his "shooting slump" he's be a good point guard???

Duhon can only hit a man on the pick and roll...that's it...

Number 1...a point guards job is to run the offense thats in place and be a coach on the floor
Number 2...he needs to see the floor, find guys that are open when nobody else does and make his teamates better...
Number 3...he needs to be able to freelance when the offense is stagnant, like breaking down the defense and making offense happen...
number 4...control tempo...coach wants to push...you push...when you need to slow it down you do. Also know when to make change of pace moves where you go slow and then speed up, taking what the defense gives you
Number 5...call your own number when the defense clamps down on your teamates or when the opportunity presents itself

Duhon is incapable of doing numbers 2-5...he can't even do #1 cuz D'antoni wants the pace to be quicker than Duhon is capable of going.

All I can say is wait and see...I hope Sergio takes advantage.
