I would rather sign CJ Watson and Kosta Koufos and keep drafting 8th overall every year.

Whenever you have either or decisions, they aren't choices, they're dilemas. We flip(possibly) in 2011, so it's 33 mil,Jordan Hill, and the 2012 pick. Seems more palpable.

I'll take the picks...unless we get Lebron/Bosh, Lebron/Wade, Wade/Bosh and maybe even Joe Johnson/Bosh
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Thats it you have massive cap space either way--is 9mm more worth Jordan Hill and two additional picks--possibly high lottery picks?

they won't be high lottery picks. i trust this management team to find the right guys.

and i think people are ignoring that they seriously upgraded the backcourt in these trades outside of the question mark mcgrady move. sergio and house could be here to stay - both are perfect D'antoni players.

jeffries and hill were not good here. the trade is worth it to get rid of them. and now we have space to keep sergio and house and add one max guy and still have something like $14M left to sign another max or two very good pieces.

briggs, whether you like it or not the draft is more than a gamble than building your team through free agency. this team has been horrible in the draft, they've committed to free agency. i have faith they'll make the right moves.

If it is a chance at Lebron + another star I would give up hill for the $9 MM in cap room, I would have thrown in 1 pick but you are right, 2 is a lot (one is a swap though so it doesnt sting as bad). At least we have put ourselves in a position to get marquee talent. The Knicks could have tanked when Yao was in the draft or when Lebron was and instead won meaningless games - thus continuing many seasons of mediocrity. However, this is them actually rolling the dice and putting themselves in a position to make real moves.

It is risky - but we know we can play in FA now and that is a big deal with the names that will be available.

You don't like the trade, WE GET IT.
Now can you PLEASE stop saying we gave up Hill plus TWO picks?
You already know we get a pick back.
