I'm being realistic...T-mac would be bargan cuz of his injury history...what team is paying this guy more than 10 mill a year...if they were smart all teams would set a "cap" and not go over it...in other words nobody be a hero and even offer more than 6-8 mil for McGrady regardless of what he does as a Knick.

Like I said 18-20 is quite possible...16-18 more likely with the rust. Still that a NBA starter. He could help. What if duke takes a pay cut like this??? do you re-sign him??? if the bigger dogs don't sign and say Joe johnson comes...how do you like that roster???

well since the Knicks are under the cap they don't qualify for an exemption....that's why they call it an exemption, cuz it allows a team over the cap to sign a player...

But exemption money is around 6 mill...I mad a point to say no team should offer T-mac more due to his health. Since he will no doubt play alot with NY, he should stay. D'antoni's style should suit T-mac fine especially with Sergio finally getting his shot at starting (I hope)....I think its a fact that no body wants to even except because the hip thing to talk about is the two max players...which is highly unlikely....

so in the likely even the Knicks can only re-sign Lee and only one all-star....signing T-mac to a 6-8 mill contract is reasonable, possible and probably what they Knicks should hope for.
