His inability to finish around the basket and his terrible hands made him frustrating to watch at times, but I don't feel he was as bad as a player and for the team as some folks around here think he was. I thought his weaknesses were minimized this year, and the guy always gave a good effort. Blame others for his contract- he was just doing what was best for him, but on the floor, I look for effort, and he usually provided that for the team while he was a Knick.

He played up to his ability (however lacking), IMO, and that is all you can ask from any player.

I am upset that we traded him at the cost of losing Hill, however.

As for right now, Jeffries was one of the 5 worst players in franchise history, along with Jerome James. His career here was an embarrassment. Isiah giving him that large of a contract is basically the reason we had to trade so much to rid of him. It just goes to show how Isiah is still destroying the team long after he's gone.
