THen I'll have as much money as the Russian and move the Knicks to Moscow!
When you are applauding a move--then you should be able to show what you can do with it. I would like to see what people can come up with.
the parameters of taking Bosh/Lebron/Wade off the table make the exercise a little stacked in your favor, no?
first thing walsh does this summer is offer Lebron James and Dwyane Wade the chance to be teammates. go from there.
this is a league run by stars. we'll have two stars flanked by wilson and gallo and toney and maybe sergio and a bunch of short contract players.
we can move eddy's expiring for a longer term player next year at the deadline or before.
cryz--you make a move like this--what is the plan to fill out the roster if LBJ Wade and Bosh are not available[cry??]---it looks very very weak that we will get Lebron Wade or Bosh--so we just gave up a sht load of assets---I want to see someone build a team staying under the 53mm $ cap. If you applaud a move than you have to have some scenarios in mind.
i really don't think Lebron is looking weak. i really don't. i think that is still strong. okay - you want scenario X if Lebron/Bosh/Wade are all off the table?
Sign Joe Johnson to 5yrs, $80M - that's not a max, starts at $14M (still $20M more than atlanta offered him last year)
Sign David Lee to 6yrs $60M - not a max, starts at $8M
Sign Marcus Camby to 3yrs $20M - starts at $6M
Sign Raymond Felton to 5 yrs $40M - starts at $6M
fill out roster with minimum deal guys like Bill Walker, Eddie House, Bender
PG Felton/Sergio
SG Johnson/House
SF Wilson/Gallo
PF DLee/Gallo
C Camby/DLee
if any of those guys don't work, I'd look at Mike Miller, CJ Watson, etc...
