I was at the game last night and this isn't the first time I've noticed it.
But one very big knock I have on Jordan Hill is that he has horrible hands.
Every time he gets the ball it seems he's fumbling it.
Also, it was my impression that he was supposed to be *athletic*. I dunno, I just don't see it.
Maybe I'm mistaking strong for athletic, or maybe he's just young and needs to bulk up,
but so far, I'm really not very hopeful with this guy. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree with you 100%. Have posted on different threads how I don't know if his game, especially his post game, works in the pros. He keeps the ball low, is subject to have people swat at it, hops a lot when trying to manuever in the post, and really does not impress me. Maybe they need to bring Patrick in to teach him some moves...

I hope I'm wrong too.

I think I'm gonna have to stop watching the Knicks if they draft another sorry big man from Arizona.

That's if we don't get Lebron

he hasn't shown anything. i can't believe anyone thought he was worth holding onto and not giving up for cap relief. i hope they're happy now.

agree with ya panos. i didn't think this guy was anything special at arizona and i sure as hell didn't want the knicks to draft him either. i don't think he plays very big and i don't think the guy has a motor and im starting to wonder if he has any passion either.

i'm not one to jump on rookies but when i've seen the guy in college and see these things and then see the same things now, i'm not going to be very enthralled about his future. just my opinion though.

i don't think our trade scenario is done yet. that kings/rockets deal is rumored to be turned into a 3teamer and i'm pretty sure hill is as good as gone if it does.

He can shoot, he can posterize, he can body up, he can rebound. Most of his flaws are very correctable..but he's going to need to actually play minutes down the stretch to correct them.

I hope he stays because I think he can be a solid Center in a run-and-gun D'antoni offense.

He may not be anything special as a scorer, but I think he has a few good moves and good touch on his J. I don't see him averaging 20 ppg, but I think he's a double digit scorer. I think he is active defensively and was a top tier rebounder in college so while he may not be a superstar, I think he can be a double/double starting type player at the PF/C position.

Fall of 2011. Starting lineup: Chris Paul, Joe Johnson, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Jordan Hill.

(Assuming Hill progresses to the point of being ~75% of what Amare is...)

Contender?

sadly, i think Chris Paul's knees might be seriously messed up.

i'd vote for:

PG Sergio
SG Joe Johnson
SF Wilson
PF Gallo
C Bosh

I'm frustrated that Hill was even drafted in the first place. If it were just him in the deal, I'd send his wack ass on the first thing smokin --- its giving up other draft picks in conjunction thats the problem. If Hill looked halfway decent, we wouldnt have to give up our draft picks for the next 27 years. Thats whats making people pause. Well, me at least cant speak for others.

It's not Hill that's the issue. It's the picks. Not protecting ourselves would be stupid, in case we don't get anyone above LeBron or Wade. Any of the other free agents does not guarantee that we'll be a good team, including Bosh.

he's not impressive. but he may be awkwardly effective in the nba. there were consecutive plays last night - it looked like he wasn’t going to grab a rebound that he should’ve - but he somehow held on to it. next play he flipped up a little shot that he should have hit but again it looked like he wasn’t going to - and it went in. he may be a player who always looks awkward and unimpressive but gets the job done.

Agree.

I did not want him in the first place, but if he gets some consistent minutes, where he is able to play despite making mistakes, I think he will do fine. The guy needs some serious minutes in order to grow as a player, but he is not getting them at this time, and you can't expect significant improvement without playing time.

If he is back with us next year, he has to do some intelligent bulking up and continue to work on his post moves and he will be fine.

He should be getting at least 30 MPG right now in preparation for next year, IMO.
