So says Frank Isola. Looks like Jeffries name stalled the talks, but the Knicks have an interest in Luke.

we might even here from mck1 if this deal goes down

but seriously, luke would be a definite upgrade over duhon (obviously.) the biggest thing with luke is that he can actually run an offense, shoot the ball and dish the rock, would be an interesting acquisition.

I'm sure we'd have to add a pick to make this work too. I'd rather throw in Hill for Warrick.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Not sure why we can't just move Curry for Maggette. That clears almost as much as losing Jeffries and gives us an actual 2 guard who's one of the most efficient scorers in the game if you haven't noticed recently and helps GS get out of cap hell two years sooner.

I would welcome luke with open arms, bury duhon under the bench, or include him in a deal for a backup for luke.

Because Corey Maggette is flaming garbage with an awful contract. Warriors fans have been wanting him gone since he signed there.

yeah, but when the other option is trading away every asset you have and then some more stuff... slotting an efficient scorer in at the two-guard doesn't look so bad.

Efficient scorer like Al is an efficient scorer. So Al Harrington with a terrible contract. I'd rather trade Eddy for something of more value this summer. Or just buy his fat ass out.

Milwaukee was high on Hill pre-draft as well, if I recall, and they've already stated in several news reports that they're willing to take contracts that go beyond the year, and they need a PF.

I think the only holdup right now is that they want a vet PF like Troy Murphy, but if that falls through, please God let them take a Jeffries/Hill + 2011 swap. We'll throw in $3M cash considerations to make the Jeffries poison pill easier to swallow.

Are the bucks aiming for the summer of 2011? There is a chance LBJ and Amare may join Paul and Anthony in that class.

I don't know if they're even aiming for any FA class. I think they're just trying to take advantage of a seller's market, and turn their expirings into either more picks or better talent. Hence their interest in Troy Murphy who has an awful contract.

Also, Chris Paul is in the class of 2012, same with Dwight. And I highly doubt Bron or Wade or Amare don't opt out of their contract because this summer will be the last with the current CBA, and all signs point to the next one being a lot more stringent in regards to player salaries.

lol... i can just hear these trade talks in my head.

DW: "So I was wondering if you'd be open to trading Luke Ridnour?"
Milwaukee GM: "I would be open to it. What do you have to offer?"
DW: "Well, how about Ja-"
*click* *dial tone*
DW: "... hello?"

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Dude I was thinking the EXACT same thing and was about to post that.

Drake - "I hear my phone ringing when they call. I ain't pick'in up or entertaining them at all"

Drake pretty much describes every GM's feeling toward the Knicks because they know they are peddling Jefferies.

Maybe MIL won't require three first rounders to take JJ.

Then again, they have their own JJ already in Gadzuric.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The Bucks have their own Curry and Jefferies in Redd(18 million) and Gadzuric(7 million). Plus they just added 7 million in salary for Salmons. They arent touching Jefferies.
