I knew as soon as we got Thomas the first thing he was going to try to do was get us a pure point guard. Being a great point guard himself, i'm sure he believes every great team needs a great point guard. Sure enough within two weeks of his arrival he makes two good trades, both involving point guards as the main components. First it was Norris, who could be no better than Ward and Eisley, but in his first two games has been very solid. Then he goes out and gets us Marbury, who some feel is the second best pure point guard in the league, but no one can argue the fact that he is an nba superstar and top-5 guard in the league. The best part is hes only 26 so you can build a team around him. Hardaway can also play some point. I'm interested to see with Marbury seeing a majority of the minutes, whos going to be the perminant back-up. Both Williams and Norris have shown signs of being very solid so it will be interesting how that turns out. I give Thomas an A for this one though. In two weeks he's done more positive then Layden has in 4 years and now gives the Knicks an awesome foundation to work with.
