Looks like it will be a repeat of last year if the Knicks don't change a few things. We have an over-abundance of perimeter players, why not use them??? Van Gundy is a great coach and needs to flexibility to the style of players he has not sticking to the old adage of defense, defense. Yes, when it comes down to it, we will still need to be able to make stops, but if we can't score, what will be the point of stopping. Van Gundy needs to implement an offense and stradegy that will compliment the style of players on todays rosternot the defensive scheme that should have left when players like the X Man, & Mason skidded out of town. Play smart by playing up to the potential of the team! Holla back with your thoughts fellow Knicks fans.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

I'm still hoping that VanGund brings back the up-tempo style that got the knicks into the Finals a few years back. It was so much more fun to watch too.
Right now I can't fathom what the zone defense will do to the current post-up-Spree-and-Houston offense we got going. Any thoughts?

Houston should like the zone - he won't have to do as much work on defence, and maybe he can stay on the perim and just knock down 3s. Spree will like it if he can adjust and make the pass to the open man. Rice will like it because he can take the smaller man outside and bomb away, and as someone said, there needs to be change in the offensive and defensive philosophy.

Big bump. It's not very Homerific of me (DOH!), but I thought this thread was eerily relevant... 30-52...yikes, 30 wins looks like a miracle nowadays...
The end of the Ewing era had just dawned... Glen Rice...geez, that trade ended in so much pain...
