With the trade deadline nearing, the Bulls don't seem to have a shortage of suitors for Tyrus Thomas.
There are plenty of teams that could use an athletic big, and we've noted some in the box to your right.
If the rumored deal of Kirk Hinrich to the Celtics or Lakers ever comes through, Thomas could be included in such a deal. And in any deal the Bulls make to free up more cap room, the Bulls could include Thomas.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Bulls asking price is an expiring contract and a first-round pick, and adds that the Bobcats have offered Acie Law, Flip Murray and their 2010 first-round pick for Thomas.
And yesterday, Ken Berger of CBS Sports wrote the Knicks are continuing to pursue Thomas in a deal that would send back Al Harrington's expiring contract. This was a rumored deal from earlier in the season.
"Harrington's movement-killing tendencies on offense are frustrating coach Mike D'Antoni, who believes Thomas' length and athleticism would be a good long-term fit," writes Berger. "In any event, D'Antoni would get to look at Thomas in his system for the rest of the season before deciding whether to retain him as a restricted free agent."
Both ESPN's John Hollinger and Chad Ford touched on Thomas' trade prospects in their chats last week.
John Hollinger
Thomas most likely Bull to go
"Everyone talks about Kirk Hinrich, but I think Tyrus Thomas is the more likely departure. The Bulls can't make him a qualifying offer without murdering their cap space, so it makes tons of sense to trade him now and get something in return. Brad Miller could also go if his salary is needed to combine with another players' (say, John Salmons') in a deal to create more cap room for this summer."
Chad Ford
Bulls not likely to get much for Thomas
"He's a restricted free agent this summer. Has been difficult to deal with for years. He'll want more money than he's worth. Who gives up a significant asset for that? It's a shame. I love Tyrus Thomas' game when he's focused. It's funny. When the Bulls drafted him, they were right on the talent. But wrong on the person. Which, if you read any of the stuff we wrote about Thomas before the draft, you could've guessed. Wonder if we are in for a repeat with DeMarcus Cousins. Amazing talent. But he has issues."

Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
