Whatever other percs we can legally offer to Lebron and his PEOPLE, you can bet that we will be offering it. It would be worth the price. New York has so much to offer outside of basketball that we can't imagine how much can be added as fringe benefits. This idea that it has to be a winning situation is also dubious, since this team would jump many levels just by adding him and who said that's all we'd be able to add? We're gonna be a winning team with him on board, that's guaranteed. Who is he playing with now that's so special that we can't find an equally capable player to bring in here? Lebron's PER is off the charts, cuz he does so much. He's in Jordan territory PER wise right now. He's worth 2 NBA players all by himself!!! The league avg. PER is 15.00 and James is at 31.64!!! He's totally worth taking a shot at even if it meant stalling for 2 years to get the chance, cuz he's on top of the league in terms of production and he makes his team better without a doubt.
It has been stated that if LeBron comes to New York that Cablevision will offer him HIS VERY OWN CABLE CHANNEL to do whatever he wants on it.
Don't know how much that would entice him....but it is true that the Dolans are prepared to create a LeBron James Channel.
Besides that think of the endorsements. Think of the billboards. Think about how he would truly be the KING he claims to be if he came to New York.
He's not getting that in Cleveland and I truly believe his ego is so big that he'd rather be a celebrity than a winner. If he came to NY it may take a year or two but we could easily build a winning team around him with the money we would be willing to spend.
LeBron is big business. He wants to expand. He's already at his peak in the Cleveland market.
If he wants more, which I really think he does, then he will leave.
And, again, you take LeBron off the Cavs you cut 20-25 wins off them immediately. You add LeBron to this team you add 20-25 wins immediately.
So this BS of "Oh he won't go to a losing team." is pathetic because....without him, Cleveland is a LOSING TEAM. And you add him to the losing Knicks and you got the winning Knicks an instant top 4 EC team.
So, well, these little fluff comments are just that: narrow sighted trash.
