This trade makes total sense for both teams.
Chicago trades Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas, & Pargo
NY trades Harrington & Jeffries

The knicks increase their payrol by 2.2 million, but we have a very serviceable PG for years to come.
We could just waive Thomas & Pargo or do some sign & trades perhaps in the offseason.
We also would have 24 hours to redirect Thomas & Pargo somewhere else as long as we do the trade at least 1 day prior to the deadline.

Chicago would get Harrington would bring some much needed scoring to their team plus they have shown some real interest in him lately.
They get cap relief next year by trading away Hinrich for a Jeffries who has 1 yr left on his contract.

Not if it meant being unable to resign David Lee. Hinrich isn't a good enough piece to take on his contract.
