Carl Braun, who was a five-time All-Star player as a member of the New York Knicks basketball team in the 1950s, died today at age 82.
Braun, a Brooklyn native, died in Florida of natural causes, the team told the Associated Press.
Braun was the Knicks' fifth-place career scoring leader with 10,449 points, behind Patrick Ewing, Walt Frazier, Willis Reed and Allan Houston.
He also coached the Knicks for two seasons.
He is survived by a wife, four daughters and six grandchildren, according to the AP.
Hall of Famer and former Knicks player Dick McGuire died on February 3.
