After 50gms this is how we've fared

2001-2002 20-30 JVG/Chaney
2002-2003 22-28 Don Chaney
2003-2004 23-27 Don Chaney/Lenny Wilkens
2004-2005 19-31 Lenny Wilkens/Williams
2005-2006 14-36 Larry Brown
2006-2007 22-28 Thomas
2007-2008 14-36 Thomas
2008-2009 21-29 Pringles
2009-2010 19-31 Pringles

There is some truly revealing things here. The obvious one is we have a fundamentally flawed philosophy, we've put more focus on winning with what we had/present that moment in time instead of building a future. Now our worst season was with LB and he never got a second chance and I guess you could say Herb too but the two coaches who were/are heavily supported Thomas and Pringles have managed to not improve upon their previous seasons. If you go back to the 2001 season you can see we're 1 game worse with several rosters turned over since. Never once did we roll with a younger group of players or play the younger players we did have until after the vets were sifted off the team. I find it especially puzzling the last two yrs we didn't get better results considering our crop of talent(1-12) is probably it's best compared to the previous yrs, coach at the helm, and mediocre to weak Eastern Conference. Make no mistake about it our 2009-2010 record should be better than our 2008-2009 record. We've been relatively healthy too only major injuries were to Jeffries and Gallo with broken leg and back and Curry with his knees. This is why we see more and more fans wanting us to rebuild the right way.

the other consistent trend is our lack of success in adding pieces through the draft.

while I agree we have never gone with young players, we also have never added any good ones.

partly, we've traded our picks, but we've also not been bad enough, or lucky, to land a franchise talent.

and a +1 on this season to last. i'd like some of the MDA defenders to explain to me the reasons for us being worse this year compared to last. and I am happy to wait for the end of the season since we'll have the full picture.

I ask not to be sarcastic, but because I legitimately want to understand wtf happened to this season.
