Nate drives all crazy, we even seen him take quarter off here or there
however Nate and J.Hill played well tonite in loss to CAVs as they fall
behind as usual.

Mr Gallo two nights in a row the NIGHT off, what's up ?
Now NY is saying few guys are banged up and injuries, but ya know what
I ain't buying into that crap. Same story over and over each yr, injuries
anything to use as excuse for lazy play and dumb ball.

Even the coaches are lacking now in preparing team for wins.
Again I maintain you can win and be respected the way Knicks are doing it
without 1 single legit star/allstar. NONE. When is last allstar (past) we had
in here ? Allan Houston ? Marbury ? (in his good pre-pipe days)

Back to the game ..falling behind to good teams is one thing (CAVs elite), but falling behind to lame teams or teams
of your equal like Mil. Bucks tells you about personalities of knicks players

For example Gallo and few others can disappear. Duhon disappears all the time although Duhon seems
playing a bit better off the bench despite the losses.

However we cant WIN any GAMEs with likes of GALLO and few other knickerbockers taking full night
off with their lame lame stats.

All the hoopla with the talented Gallo lets put it where it is for these starters. Duhon starter out
Next Gallo ? what about Chandler ? Chandler often gets a pass for his good gutty play and often gets
overlooked for his dumb play at offensive end. Like jacking up shots from anywhere. When Wes goes to
basket he can balance his game. These days he forgot, struggles and he play on other end (defense) is
not where it could be.

Too many lapses too many nights off, too few challenges and too many teams giving Knicks early
knockout punch and Knicks chin is like a paper cottonball weight. It aint very good and that is
disappointing.

Another loss for a team without a draft.

Interestingly, watching a national telecast of the Knicks last week...JVG thought the core the Knicks should go with next year was Harrington, Nate, Lee and Chandler...No Gallo...

You guys are funny. It's not unreal to think maybe Gallo is hitting the wall. He's been going strong for a long time now and this is further than he's ever been into a pro season non stop. He came into camp having no chance to really workout until about a month before camp. He was never really in 82 game shape. I'm glad he's looked as good as he has. Many were thinking his back was gonna give out any day. You can't compare Gallo to Nate in this instance.

No one is saying Gallo won't be good...We just need to tone down the hype a touch...People are asking for the offense be run through him...

Is there really a huge chorus of calls for the offense to run thru Gallo? I've only read a few posters who have suggested that. This is a non argument. To me there's a failure to accept what he's able to do in this year as a kid coming along in his 1st full season. I think he's come a long way and yet has a long way to go to reach his full potential.

This is not a comparison to Nate but playing 50 games should get you into shape when your 20 right?

Gallinari was too passive vs the Bucks (his mates also need to give him some real attention- he should not have to create his own shots all the time), but he really only played for a half against the Cavs, and he had a pretty good game from what I could see after looking carefully at Cosmic's upload. 13 pts, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and a block is a pretty good line for a game in which he (as did Lee) sat out much of the second half. He was much more active against the Cavs.

To say that Gallinari took the night off against the Cavs indicates to me that the OP did not see the game, does not understand the game, or is on a trolling outing.

MDA went with the hot hand, but how do you credit Gallinari with an off night vs the Cavs if his coach sits him? The Knicks were out of it the first half, but much of that stemmed from James, who always seems to have big games against the Knicks.

There seem to be more than a few folks around here with an irrational dislike for Gallinari that gets in the way of their thinking. Some of it seems to come from the Natelove posters who get overexcited when their man has a good game, and then feel a need to come out swinging against players they dislike for some reason.

The result is a lot of gibberish which makes no sense when you actually examine things with any degree of objectivity.

i think i've been 1 of Gallo's biggest fans but lately i have noticed a drop off in his effort as well... don't think he took the night off like some guys are suggesting but he doesn't seem to have the same bounce in his step that he had earlier in the season as Clyde might put it.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I like Nate. I really do. But the idea that he's more effective than Gallo is just false. Stats below from http://www.82games.com/0910/0910NYK.HTM

Per 100 possessions with Nate on the court: -33
Per 100 possessions with Gallo on the court: -2 (best figure for a Knick, btw)

Nate's best feature, obviously, is his scoring, but even here he doesn't have an advantage over Gallo:

effective fg %: Nate .536
effective fg %: Gallo .537 (pretty much a wash)
