Dick McGuire, Hall of Fame Guard for New York Knicks, Dies at 84

Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Dick McGuire, a five-time all-star
for the New York Knicks and member of the hall of fame, died
today at the age of 84, the National Basketball Association team
said in a statement.

He was part of the first knick team i remember. The knx would be a playoff team with a Dick Maguire running the floor. Thanks for the memories. RIP

RIP - Dick, along with the late Red Holzman, was such a big part of this franchise for so long.

Dick McGuire had a great eye for talent and composition. More than that, he was a New Yorker who bled orange and blue. He was responsible for assembling what may have been the most perfect blend of basketball talent to ever jog on a wooden court.

He will be missed.

These guys were the Magic Johnson's before Magic Johnson. No one plays like him anymore--you don't have great passing in the game anymore--- guys with a lot of assists but not like this guy.
