do we become the best team in the NBA? I would say Yes. Cleveland right now is arguably the best team in the game but if you take Lebron off that team, they wouldn't make it to the playoffs. The Knicks have a better team than the Cavs minus Lebron IMO. So if we do happen to sign the King...will there be confetti in the streets on N.Y. in 2011?

add Lebron to this team & we'd still have trouble beating the Magic IMO... it's not just about regular season records, it's about matchups when u get into postseason play... #8 seeds give #1 seeds a hard time cuz of matchups... we still would have no answer for Dwight Howard inside & Orlando could match our perimeter shooting w/ease w/the players they got... that's just in the East... once u get out West there are plenty of teams that would still be better than us even if we had Lebron... we have many areas of need on this team, just signing Lebron isn't gonna make us the best team in the league by a longshot.

just look at the Lakers - Bynum, Gasol, Odom and Kobe. All 4 deserving or could-be allstars. Matchup hell.

I agree w/ us having difficulty beating the Magic. That team is matchup hell. However I think we would be able to beat every team in the West. Knicks almost beat the Lakers this yr.

we'd have trouble beating the Celtics too... Lebron would be our only real favorable matchup over Pierce... otherwise every other starter trumps ours on their team... we might have the edge in bench scoring w/Al & Nate but they play much much better team defense & defense wins in the playoffs.

Lakers would definitely beat us in a short series even with Lebron... who do we have that can check Bynum or Gasol? Jordan Hill is the only one that did a halfway decent job both times we played them this year... Kobe cancels out Lebron... then u got Odom & Gallo are about a wash... Artest is way better than Fishlips & Fisher is better than Duhon... Nate is way better than Farmar & Al is way better than Walton, but the Lakers also play much better team defense than we do overall... plus they have been there & done that, they know how to win the big games, we don't... in the end we would have no answer for their double headed monster in the post.

If LBJ went on any team they would be great. That being said--how do we match up with teams with two bigs--we lack speed a consistent bench---Also if Cleveland comes very close but doesnt win--as in win 60 lose in 6 game sin the final--how does LBJ explain leaving--I want to go to a 33 win team with no C?
