It was reported on January 31, 2008, that Redick asked his agent, Arn Tellem, to see about a possible trade. "We want to see what's out there," Redick told the Orlando Sentinel, "I want to stay here, but it's been frustrating." Magic coach Stan Van Gundy responded: "Right now it would be very hard to fit him in. I know it's also hard to keep sitting him on the bench... Should we be playing him? Right now we're going good so we probably won't disrupt things."[18] The Orlando Magic confirmed Van Gundy's comments by stating that Redick would not receive more minutes or a trade before the Feb. 21st trade deadline.[19] In the last game of the season, with the playoff seed locked up, Redick received more time than he had all season and led the Magic with 18 points, for the first time in his career.
Aside from the media, Nate is truly a publicity whore. He has made his name known nationally, and he has had some pretty visible unfavorable incidents that found their way to ESPN. Not saying it's right, but that is what happens when you try to market your name to the degree Nate does. I think another thing that draws national attention to himself is the way he acts on the floor. He's a showman. When you're a showman people notice you.
In regards to Larry, it is more the media than anything else, however there were some incidents where he kept his name in the paper(coming out so strong against Pringles when he was benched, his constant telling the papers LeBron isn't coming to NY or he knows what LeBron is doing because he's his friend...)so people see that and they form an opinion on both of these guys.
JJR is basically Steve Kerr when he was on the Bulls-playing wise. He hasn't drawn a lot of attention to anything he does and honestly he isn't the talent that Nate or Larry are.
That my opinion anyway.
