Lakers coach Phil Jackson has spent one more season with the team than he did with the Bulls, but he still wants to represent both clubs when he enters the Hall of Fame.

"My own personal (opinion," Jackson said, "I'd have to have a jacket with both sides -- one side Lakers, the other side Bulls."

He won six titles with Chicago and has four with Los Angeles thus far.

Well yeah, but I would say his accomplishments as a coach outshines his accomplishes as a player. At least in my book.

he would go in because of his coaching achievements, he has no Knicks ties as far as that's concerned... he's not going in because of a HOF Knicks' playing career... i think he should go in as a Bulls' coach, that franchise made him into what he is today... or maybe he made them... in either case, the Lakers were a great franchise before Jackson ever got there & vice versa... can't say the same about the Bulls.

Whats good with Phil Jackson and his relationship with New York? Is there animosity stemming from some story I havent heard about? I've read a lot of quotes from Phil Jackson from the 90s Knicks/Bulls rivalry days and he always seemed to talk greasy about Knicks.

I've always wanted to know about that myself. He doesn't wanna make appearences during Knicklegends night...I'm sure the Knicks have made attempts to honor him...its like he wants no part of NY at all...I'd love to hear what's the whole story with that.

It stems from an unfortunate locker room incident at MSG involving Phil's head and a toilet bowl.

Are there actually Knick fans in existence who didn't already disown Phil Jackson about 15 years ago?
